A/B Squeeze Page Testing

I am setting up an A/B test between 2 different squeeze pages using Google Optimizer. That is simple enough, and once someone opts-in at one of the squeeze pages, and is sent to the salespage, I can use the salespage as the page into which to place the Optimizer conversion code.

This will show me which squeeze page sent more people through the opt-in/confirmation process.

Now then, if I want to see which page squeeze page caused more people to opt-in, even if the viewers don't go through with Aweber's confirmation process (they don't confirm), where would I put the conversion code? I am using Aweber's audio message page to remind people to confirm. I can't put it in there. I don't have access to that page's code.

Do I just make a custom confirmation reminder page instead of using Aweber's, and place the conversion code in that page?

Can I also place another conversion code on the salespage too at the same time?

Am I thinking correctly? Is there a better way?

Thanks
