Ever Market Your Ebook To A Foreign Country?

After doing some research on Google Insights I discovered that the demand for a "how to" subject is TWICE the amount it is here in the USA.

This got me to thinking, I have an ebook on the exact subject.

I checked out Google for the Philippines (Google) and notice there are NO ads for the exact targeted keyword phrase.

SO to my question...have any of you had your ebook or infoproduct translated into another language and promoted in a place like the Philippines on Adwords?

Would I have to create a website that is in their native language as well to make sure I can get my ad up there and have a good Quality Score?

Thoughts?

I sold my book to UK and America which is foreign countries to me here in Thailand and sometimes Australia. It is all a global market.

Asian countries have very little copyright so if it is any good it will be duplicated and distributed so limited sales value.

If there are languages that you can't (or don't want to) target yourself then you can make incremental revenue by selling language rights.

Let's a pick a language for the sake of this example - German.

Find someone who can translate your product into German and sell in that language. You then sell them the exclusive rights (for a decent amount of money) to sell your product in German. They get to keep 100% of the sale price and you make money that you would not otherwise have made.

    Cheers,
