Product Design Question

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum for this question, so mods, feel free to move it to the correct one...

My primary business is financing businesses. I recently reserved a domain name to provide business financing resources for a very nominal fee. My question in this: Without going into detail, I have thousands of sources that finance businesses and commercial properties, specific to particular industries and business classes in an Excel spreadsheet. My site will have a video and sales copy about why they should buy this HUGE peachy list of mine for a nominal cost. I really don't want to have them download an Excel file, even if it is password protected. Is there some way to turn this into some executable file so it is not easily given away? Any suggestions what the best way would be to do this? Thanks so much for your responses and enjoy the World Cup if you're watching it too!

Why don't you use a PDF? If you want this sheet to be executable I don't think there is a really good way to protect the document.

Only because they might want a sort function... this is sorted by date, State, type of business, etc... won't be able to do a sort in a pdf although I appreciate the thought.

If I would have known they were going to make me Pope, I would have studied harder.

It could be done on EXE files. You'll have to find a programmer to make an application
    with database.

It could also be done using web based application with database because excel files
can be imported to a database.

And of course, tell your programmer to make it secured like adding some licensing.

exe is overkill. there isnt any way to let them see and use the info on their computer and keeping your info totally protected but you can make it a little more difficult. PDF would work. You could also put the info in google docs spreadsheet and publish the info as a embedded link.
