Just a little feedback on my idea?

Hi Warriors,

I'll not beat about the bush, basically I'm working on a brand new membership blog where by I'll be releasing modules in 7 day increments, you know, module 1, then 7 days later module 2...You get the idea. Anyway I also have a seperate products page on the blog. Now what I was thinking of doing was to maybe add the modules to the products page after their release dates so if certain visitors didn't want to join the membership, they could still purchase the individual modules that perhaps interested them.

Is this a wise move or completely disasterous?

Love to hear your feedback!

PS: I don't want to give the link out to the blog yet as it's still undergoing major construction

I have no agenda but to help those in the same situation. This I feel will pay the bills.

I could see it working if at first you build up reoccuring traffic and then charge for premium content that way you will already have people willing to pay for unique content. Its all about how good each module is and if it provides something new and good or if its the same rehashed info, good luck.

I would go for only selling all the modules for 2 reason:

1.) With just one, they might be left confused and there is more potential for refunds.

2.) It might make them think the information overall isn't as valuable and detract some from buying all the modules.

I believe if you did this you would want to make the cost for the non-membership sales much more costly. This way some may decide to go for the cheaper membership thus helping to build your mailing list.

    Best of luck to you!

Okay for those who are asking what the niche is or my market?

I'm playing my cards close to my chest lol! I don't really want to disclose that yet

Thanks for the feedback so far though warriors, much appreciated!

I think it's a good idea. I don't like the sites where you get one module each week. I would go for buying all the modules at the time if I could. I like to see all the information and then decide if I like it or not.

I dont know to me a membership is much less of a perceived value as a product packaged with a bunch of extras thrown in. But it doesnt matter what I think it is what your target market thinks.
