I found a great wordpress login screen plugin. You can totally customize your login page. You make the background, its just one big image. You can customize all the colors of the login form, buttons and form placement.

Talk about give your site a custom look and feel. Here's two example of what you can do:
MaxSplitPress Log In

I'm the only one who logs into my wordpress, and I don't think it's worth the energy to make it look pretty for myself.

Is there another function I'm missing other then looks?

My first thought was to use it as a UI, but I agree, as a personal login, not so much but as a customer login, hmmm, interesting,

  @koncorps, I am going to use it for several of my clients that have a totally private blog. In other words I made a blog site that, when the URL is entered, only the Wordpress login shows. Only people with the login information can get access to that. This is for an "internal" corporate blog I made.
  
  The most obvious application is for Wordpressed based membership sites. I have Wishlist member, so I am going to use it on that as well.
  
  This is not for everybody.....

@netkid I would think that membership sites would eat this up. I set up custom contact management system for all my clients using the P2 WordPress Theme, like Twitter in a box and having a custom login page just adds to that professional look.

I use http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/...ogin-redirect/ t redirect my users to the desired page after they login and http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/register-plus/ to capture all the info I need from users when they register.

They also get added to my aweber account automatically by using http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/...-super-simple/ again you can see an example http://maxsplitpress.com/wp-login.php?action=register. As long as they keep that box checked when they enter their info on my register page, they are added to my aweber autoresponder.

Lets you customize the login plus restrict access to settings and menus they might not need (or you might not want them to mess with) once they're in.

@Steve Solem Funny enough I'm doing a site for a client that want to control the backend. Now I don't have to worry about them clicking on something that might radically change the site. Thanks buddy

@MikeAdams, thanks for all the info! Didn't think about the login redirect method. Gotta try that this weekend. I'm not working with anyone on a Twitter login yet, but this will come in handy!
