How's your Facebook traffic going?

with all the facebook hype and product launches has someone actually been able to increase their traffic significantly? I'm talking about non paid ads methods, cus apparently according to the gurus that's the least effective way to get traffice from FB

I've been running a fan page in a NON IM niche (womens fashion clothing) and have nearly 1000 fans, I post something at least once or twice a day for over 3 months now. I have the like button and fanbox on my website on all pages. Analytics shows about 10 visits a day! A few days jumped to 30 which is nice, i'm not really sure what happened there, perhaps someone linking directly to my pages.

just wondering how other people have been going with their FB efforts?

    Face book is a controversial site banned in many countries. Heaven knows when and where this site will be banned in the next few days. plus it generates only random traffic not the targeted one because people on face book don't come for shopping. They come to the site for a chit chat with their friends and thats all. If u have a games site or selling gifts only thin there might be some traffic for u but if u are selling networking instruments then u should look for some other ways.

      I also find that it works pretty nicely for community gatherings and other local stuff, as people like to talk on facebook and most of the people I know use it for "local" reasons more than "worldwide" reasons like shopping as you have said.

      If you are personal trainer, or in a service based business like myself then its a godsend. otherwise. just keep a fanpage up for the sake of extra exposure, becuase like what gary vay nerchuck has mentioned in "crush it" you will never know when the next big fortune 500 companies might knock on your door offering your a partnership, so keep it up! I knwo I will

    I'm finding it impossible to get my adverts accepted. It's driving me mad to the point where I'm thinking of not bothering.

    I understand that they have to be strict but my adverts are seriously targeted/relevant - for example I've got a martial arts training course targeted at people that have 'karate, thai boxing, ufc' etc.. in there interests but Facebook just won't accept my ad!

    Facebook Traffic is notJoseph7 is right in thta facebook traffic is not really targeted. But what you need to consider is that it is free!! Where else can you get so much traffic for free? What it dies for you is build brand awareness and equity. In my experience you have to use their paid ads in order make money there.
