Is It Just Me or have you notice this about WF

I had my MSN info on my profile (just removed it).

I have got hit by people adding me and asking a 100 questions. I am thinking they are professionals at this, since they dont even say hi.

It starts off the bat, "I found you on warrior forum...."
"... I am in this market, what do you think?"
"... I made a video, I cannot get traffic, how do I do it"

Then goes on series or questions.

I dont mind sharing my perspective like many other warriors, but this is a little too much.

Cheers,
Mukul

It's because people are frigging rude. I always call them out on it.

"The least you could do is pretend you're interested in getting to know who I am instead of just what you want."

If you want my help at least be courteous first. I know how frustrating it can be.

    Cheers

  • Yea that's pretty lame! It seems a lot of people are out to grab free info and then wave bye bye!

Surely If you don't put the hard work in/research, then you won't maximise your return?

I dont want to be rude, but I think it may have to be OR they will walk all over and keep coming back.

The Video Marketing question guy and not to sound like a sleezy sales guy. After 6 questions, I asked, did you take the Video Marketing Intensive course. Everything you asked was answered in there and I created it so I did not have to do the one on one and save time...the guys like 'no, I gotta go'...I responded "you are welcome".

Glad to know i am not alone and sad to have to move my MSN since there are some cool people I meet.

    Cheers,
    Mukul

You could always just start whoring out affiliate links to them...

Someone IM's and asks: "What's the best way to affiliate market?"

Just reply with, "Actually, glad you asked, check this out.. it should explain everything for you [link to affiliate product]"

      haha.. I dunno...

LOL... "no gotta go?" Are you serious? WOW... I knew there were many unscrupulous people trying to do business online, but GEEZ telling you he found you on the WF is really going out of their way to sound like the are serious business people. Now, I am confused, was this an email or was it on messenger? Either one stinks 'cause now they have your contact info and may turn out to be a pest. But messenger? Now that is terrible... Whenever they want to be bothersome they will simply start harassing you with more questions whenever they see you are connected. YIKES... Sorry to hear you had to deal with that. I have received emails but not messenger messages. With an email you can just block them if they turn out to be weirdos that only want something from you.

        This is messenger.

I know another warrior that I talk to, when asking questions. Makes it a habit (I am sure it is) to not answer immediately as it becomes a conversation. Its a smart move.

        Maddi, good affiliate link.

Also I put people to work, hard work. Like here is 10 free traffic methods, do them. First question, did you do it? These are learn it alls and not doing anything. This way they are trained that you will ask them and will not bother you (I had this for another business I was training someone).

        Cheers,

Yep, even here in the forum people PM with questions and don't bother to say "Hi", "Please" and "Thank you".

    Their loss, I say.

Similar to what Michael Hiles posted a few weeks back that he had been receiving Friends request on skype through the forum with the first message being : Warrior Forum.

Now what rubbed him off was first off if you have Re.Warrior Forum in the subject line when you add me that does not in anyway guarantee I'd want to add you let alone talk to you.

Besides that, another difference was they started pitching stuff at him from left right and centre like First message: HEy you know I can get you on page 1 on google immediately!

so yea, there are people like that who wouldn't bother saying Hello or anything like that... what can you do. I only wish they don't get to add the likes of Steve W. or Malcolm Lambe a.k.a Metronicity but possibly there best best would be to add Paul Myers

By they way Mukul, I'm adding you now... u know just need to ask you a few* questions LMAO

Most of the questions they are so desperate to find answers for, can be easily found by the search feature on the forum and by googling. Why do they actually have to pester someone?

I have a decent amount of Warrior friends on my skype and some of them started of by asking questions but they have developed relationships and they are nice to talk to.

But boy... when someone takes something for granted :@

I think what bugs me the most is they're looking for quick answers when there is no quick solution.

I had one guy add me asking me how I started up my marketing firm.

He had no understanding of marketing, sales, advertising, psychology, business, etc... It was like someone walking into a car lot and saying "how do I run a car dealership."

I told him to come back to me with a well thought out business plan and I'd give him my opinions on it, but until that point he needs to do his homework first.

That's probably what they're doing. They're hopping from one "resource" to another until they get the answer they want - that by clicking a golden button everything will be done and they will make money.

All to often they forget that it is still a business. They take it for granted that you worked hard to make what you do successful. They just see that you do and think they can do it to. It's possible but with a lot of work which many of them conveniently block out.

And they would probably complain that you're a scammer only because they weren't successful with the product they bought from you when in reality they didn't even get pass step 1.

And yes, a little civility can go a long way. Alas it seems that many have lost that little thing.

        Ah well . . .

I've also had couple of people sending me these messages but also some of them may seem really interested to find the right answers where they keep on sending in their updates and what had happened after following my tips. Fortunately, it's also fun to read their stories although some queries may also be handled by my team.

When someone asks questions like. What niche should I go into, what product should I promote?

The first thing I have suggested to a few of these people is whichever one fits your business plan.

It is often missed that your products, marketing everything should be fitting your business plan.

    Cheers,

I think they are just looking for a free ride.

As we have always said, you have to make
a connection first. Get to know the person
        you are PM's.

        never hear from them again.
