Cannot put keyword topic on 1 page

I am making a website and I have my main keyword and then I have other keywords. each page I write around 500-600 words, but for one keyword the topic is big, and I will not be able to fit it into one page. for example I have "dog health issues" on the menu, and on the page I have "dog health" as my keyword for the page in a H1 tag. Is their a way that I could have "dog health" as my focused keyword, and then as the topic is big to have other keywords and pages run of it?

A question that I'm concerned you are not asking is...
When people arrive on your site, what are you doing to make sure they like it so much that they will want to return?

    Now answering your question...
As your site grows it will be easy to create more sub-sections as well as internal backlinks that point to pages and optimize for some of these other keywords that don't quite fit for you now.

If I were you I would focus on two things:
    1. Growing your site over time to include high quality content.
    2. Making sure that when people arrive they really like your site.

Failing on step 2 is what 98% of people do wrong.

If you use Wordpress, you can create Categories to publish content. For example, you can make a category "Dog Health". Then post articles in sub-niches like "Dog Constipation", "Dog Hair Shedding" etc and post under the main category "Dog Health".

    Ali.
