First, I have been working from home since July 2009. Writing web content. It's been fun, but I don't see myself writing web content for the next few years. I have some irons cooking for other freelance writing gigs, but they are smoldering and nothing has gotten red hot yet.

I loosely dabbled in affiliate marketing just like every other newbie out there. I have done the research, I know it works and I know it is very lucrative. But just like every other newbie, I gave up.

Recently, I began to seriously look at affiliate marketing again. And I have found my way to this wonderful place called the Warrior Forum. I have not invested in the War Room as of yer, but I am looking forward to doing just that on Wednesday or Friday at the latest. But within these very threads is a GOLDMINE of knowledge, if you just take the time to listen with an open mind.

I owe a BIG thank you to CDarklock and Icanwrite. I invested the money to get CDarklock's "Zombie Blogger" and have begun building an army of zombies that will help pay for other tools I may need down the road in my affiliate marketing business. I employed a technique that Icanwrite posted in a thread labeled "Easy way to make money with ClickBank with 0 investment!
Today I found that I made a sale on Clickbank using her technique. Dumb luck..perhaps..but it worked. There is no longer a string of zero's on the clickbank screen..lol

I am a newbie and perhaps we all are newbies to some degree. After all, if we never needed to learn anything else we all would be dead right? But even though I am a newbie to the affiliate marketing business I have one thing, ok maybe a couple of things) to say to all the other prospective newbies looking at affiliate marketing and going through these threads:

1. Expect to work. Period. Everyday. Yea it's affiliate marketing and you are pushing products or services, but it is work. Nobody else among the millions of Internet users out there have any idea who you are. You will have to work to put your programs in front of buying customers eyes. It doesn't happen overnight.

2. Soak in the knowledge that is within these threads like a sponge. Wring the sponge out and soak in some more. I have seen roughly 50 different ways to EARN an income for free or close to free right here on these threads. Again, it is work and it will not happen overnight.

3. Make up your mind to do it and DO IT. Failure is not an option. Failure is when you give up way to soon just to purchase another program or ebook. Look I bought an ebook about "Zombie Blogging" for crying out loud. Guess what..it works. No I have not seen any revenue from it yet but I am seeing sparce amounts of traffic. The point is that all of the ebooks and programs work to some degree or another. It is up to YOU to implement the tools.

Thank you all again. I can only hope to give back even a small percentage of the wealth of knowledge I have received here.

So far, everyone I talk to has dramatically altered the technique, so the fact that you're using the technique as described is extremely important to me.

Keep in touch about your results - John and I invented the technique, so our results aren't really good examples, but I'm very interested in hearing how our actual customers are doing with it.

And when you think about how little time and effort you put into each of those zombies, isn't it just shocking that they're doing so well? It just blows my mind. Zero SEO, and traffic all the same.

I haven't messed with the technique except for the first two. Tried to get all good keywordish and all...went right back to the steps both you and John set out in the book. I will keep you posted. Right now I will only be able to spend about two hours a days molding the "Zombie Army". That should add two more troops a day over the rest of this month. I have a big push with my article writing and I am also working on the other thing that Icanwrites wrote on as well.

Takes a lot of time, doesn't it? I can drop four hours looking for good keywords, no problem. It's so open-ended, and the rules are so skeletal - nobody really knows what makes keyword X better than keyword Y, so I keep going "well, this one has more searches, but that one has less competition, and this other one looks like it has more commercial intent..." and I can just do that all day long.

And maybe I'm missing something, but it just seems like spending more time on keyword research doesn't improve results all that much. I've skipped keyword research altogether and made money; I've also spent four hours finding the "perfect" keywords and not made money. (I guess they weren't so perfect after all.)

Neither approach seems to perform much better than the other... but there's certainly no denying that skipping keyword research altogether is faster.

I mean, I can do nothing really fast. You just wouldn't believe how fast I can do nothing.

I think this is something that is commonly over looked when people are first getting into affiliate marketing. The fact that you have admitted this is a huge leap forward.

When I first started I was taken in by the glimmer and did not realize how much effort was needed. I put the work in everyday and I am seeing amazing results.

Keep at it and don't give up!
