Do you use Traffic Exchanges?

Hi, I wish to start a little discussion on Traffic Exchanges (TE).

Do you use traffic exchanges to generate traffic?
If not why not? Because it;s an unknown phenomenon or is there a particular reason?

What is the best TE in your opinion? Which one would you advice to avoid?

How many hours a week do you spend on TE's generating traffic?

What advice would you give other TE users?

What do you miss on TE's? What would you advice owners to implement?

    I used to use traffic exchanges to promote my squeeze page. The problem that I found is that the people who opt-in are not particularly responsive. They are there promoting a product already and are not in my opinion looking for new one. I guess you could say they have their sites on something already.

    The only thing that I personally had success with TE was promoting other new Traffic Exchanges.

    I have found since I really started focusing on list building that natural methods of website traffic like SEO, article marketing and doing ad swaps is far more successful in creating responsive readers.
