Viral Marketing Ideas...

OK people, here's your call to action... I haven't seen any 'viral marketing' posts or topics being discussed in a long time, so it's long overdue to discuss the power of 'going viral'

I have a bunch of proven viral ideas that I will be continually adding in this initial post...

I shouldn't be telling my viral/easy/traffic secrets, but here goes:

Create something that you offer as a free download, with a backlink to your site.

My #1 example and recommendation:

CREATE A FREE WORDPRESS THEME (of course with a link at the bottom that says, theme created by : yoursite)

Once you get it out there (granted it must be of good quality, so people actually download and use your theme) you would be amazed at the traffic you will see... that will continue to increase the more it is distributed.

You can also do this by offering free PLR ebook downloads with your links, the ways you can do this viral technique is endless...

Think Outside The Box... don't do what everyone else is doing, try something new!

Be the first to share your 'viral idea' and Brainstorm with us!

I'm providing free training videos in several subjects, without trying to sell anything (in the videos, anyway). Imagine that, providing valuable content that doesn't morph into an ad. What a concept.

    Jared,

Since one of the links in your sig points to FREE TEMPLATES, how about:

15 Completely FREE Landing Page Templates That Are Proven To Convert!

The link will get passed around and people will come back often.

I ghostwrote a series about viral marketing and found it to be a fascinating way to market.

One of the most important things I found in my research was to make it OBVIOUS and BENEFICIAL for people to pass things along to their friends, family, and co-workers.

For example, if you're going to create a viral document, don't just assume they know they can pass it along. Put it in clear, large font that they can and should pass the document along.

You can make things beneficial for people to pass along by including either intrinsic or extrinsic value. They might be able to brand it with their own affiliate links or just adore it so much/find it funny/unusual/controversial, etc.

No one will pass anything along unless they get something out of it and you make it EASY for them to do so
