Simply picking up the phone and calling
paypal can help you know what the
problem is, and hence fix it with them.

Definitely there is a problem. Give them a call. There might be a glitch there somewhere. Customer Support should help.

    Hi

I'm having lots of problems with paypal recently. For no apparent reason they put my funds on 21 days pending hold. There was no justification for this , no claims, nothing. When I phoned them , they could not give me a reason. Same with e mail. They gave me possible reasons not an actual reason.
So if you do contact them, don,t expect everything to be explained.

I think paypal have got a lot of issues and they are not telling us the truth.

With my situation i am thinking they are trying to improve their cashflow. If they do this with another 100,000 accounts around the world. Then they improve their cashflow immensely.

For a non-bank financial website they do take the biscuit!

They are not FDIC insured not - a licensed deposit taker - no guarantee from them they are going to take good care of your money - why would you use them?

Alternative: RBS Worldpay - now the Royal Bank of Scotland is a licensed bank in the UK - they take care of your money and through Worldpay the transactions are guaranteed.

Hey, I'm with RBS. Might look into this. Thanks!

Paypal is so damn convenient though.

Not convenient when you have over ten grand in the account and for no reason Paypal freezes your account, does not even respond to emails and they keep the money.

It just staggers me that a large contingent of marketers have not taken out a class action lawsuit against them.

I've read TOO MANY horror stories on this forum alone about people having their accounts frozen or suspended for silly things like sales volume.

Tell you what, if paypal EVER once froze my account even for 24 hours - that'd be the only warning I'd need. I wouldn't go near them again. Thankfully, I haven't had a single issue with paypal in 4 or 5 years. Still, I wouldn't hesitate to drop them if they started playing with my earnings.

It is really a weird problem. You should call them and ask for a solution.

For the time being, you can borrow some money to your PP account, and can complete the transaction.

I think the problem a lot of paypal users have is who else can you trust with accepting payments ?

Also, will they be more expensive to use than paypal.

My problem has got me very angry , I,ve gone through the emotions of shouting down the phone to the machine on the other end of the phone, who is just reading out what they have been told to say. I think they call these machines customer advisors !

Until I come across any alternatives I,m stuck with them.

Any suggestions. I'm situated in UK.

Just reading another thread about Paypal, whereby from August 2010 , any refund transactions will not have the original payment process fee refunded as well.

PAYPAL WHAT A STAR PERFORMER !!!!!
