Another Blog Spun and Published My Article?

I suppose its just the nature of the times, so just something not to worry about. But I wanted to run it by the experts just the same.

Google Alerts returned a hit for my site name from a blog that used a spun version of one of my EZA articles, plus they didn't even put links to my site or give any credit whatever.

Is it the nature of the biz?

Thanks.

Ken

I know that you can report their website to google and that page won't be indexed but I don't remember how you do it and that is because I haven't done it in a long long time.

EDIT: Just if you're wondering, the only reason I don't go after people who copy my content is because I don't want to waste time on things that don't make alot of difference for my income.

It's actually becoming a catch 22. I've noticed what appears to be random author names attached to random partially spun articles that may or may not have originally been written by the author listed. This puts the author's image in jeopardy AND puts them at risk for being hit with plagerism and copyright violation claims. I don't have suggestions on what to do about it yet other than keep your eyes out

Ken, unfortunately is part of the business. We will never be able to get rid of plagiarizers. You can try to contact them and ask them politely to take the content down by citing that they violated copyright laws under the DMCA Title II, the Online Copyright Infringement Liability Limitation Act.

This is a section of the Copyright LAW (which dates back to the 1880's) that protects those of us who do business and write content online. NOW, this does not mean that the person will do it, but at least you can show them that you know what you are talking about. You can also contact Google and the other Major SE and tell them that you have proof the content is yours and that you posted it first. They can analyze the other person's site and content and will drop or filter it from indexing.

If I do not remember wrong, it is us warriors who always recommend people to go to Ezinearticles to get content ideas. We also recommend that ebooks should be written in as few hours as possible and that you can rewrite articles on ezine article and compile them into a book.

As we continue to teach this to be the norm, we would also expect people using our own content. It is part of the business. People will always take shortcuts.

Of course people always take shortcuts, but that does not mean that they can take someone else's ideas and hard work and revise it and post it as if it were their own. There is a fine line between paraphrasing and outright copyright infringement. When it comes to INFORMATION there will always be duplicate and SIMILAR information, yet I do not think that there is any coincidence in two people thinking exactly the same thing and presenting it in exactly the same format.

Now, I can not sit here and defend what Ken claims the other person did because I have NOT seen the two articles in question. But, as a Journalist I can ASSURE you there is a fine line and MOST people doing business and writing online, DO TEND TO CROSS IT!

I had the same experience and was annoyed enough that I blogged about article spinners.

I've also had sploggers take my articles, randomly insert p0rn keywords in them, and post them on their crummy sites.

There is a special place in hell for these people. I have to believe that.

This has happened to me also. I have had articles I wrote taken from EZA with no credit or resource box.

But that does not bother me as much as getting bumped out of 3rd place for a keyword that gets 60.500 searches a month by a site that takes its content from Yahoo news etc. (even the pictures) changes the text slightly and passes it off as its own..
