Landing page?

I am new to affiliate marketing. I recently read that you get better conversions with a landing page for a product. Is this the way to go? Can someone send me a link for one of their landing pages? Do you have to purchase a new website for every product landing page? If so, who do you go through and how much is it? New to the game and full of questions, but eager to learn.

    this is a fairly complex subject.

    From a hosting perspective, no, you dont have to purchase new sites if you have a hoster allowing a number (or unlimited) domains (= web sites). What you could purchase is domain names.
    Also..if you design the sites yourself, you don't actually have to "purchase" a site. You just make the site for whatever product. (Using templates, some PLR packs which you just copy and edit)
    Pricing is not much, hosting with unlimited domains/sites can be as low as $3/month..a domain name is about $9/year. (If you want a domain.com for each of your sites/products The rest is "only" work

    If you are new, you dont even need to bother with all this, you can start making sites using Squidoo or Blogger.

    Yes, you need to have proper landing pages set up for each of your affiliate products. The thing is that you can simply think of your self as a reporter and do this...

    1. Get a copy of the product yourself.

    2. Go through it. Most products come with a promise. Your JOB as an affiliate marketer is to ensure that the product works and does what it says.

    3. TRY out the methods yourself. You need to try them out yourself. Also keep a track of how things turn out to be. Note down the exact statistics if possible (Initially I was getting 10 unique visitors a day and NOW after having implemented the product I am getting 200 a day etc.) Also keep the screenshots etc for proof.

    4. Keep a track of time (Number of days taken) by the product to show some results. Good products will deliver results and that is when you know they are good enough to be promoted.

    5. Finally write a report, or a journal, or a diary entry about how the pain you had initially, the process of implementation of the methods underlined in the product, and the proof that it has worked for you. just type it down somewhere.

    6. Get a new domain name and install a wordpress blog on it (I have video tutorials for that, PM me for more details if you want them for free in exchange of a testimonial), and put up all that you have written in Step 5. up on the blog.

    7. Finally, promote your blog through articles, videos, Squidoo lenses, Hubs etc.

    8. Collect the checks. (THE BIGGEST TASK)
