Niche idea for the UK market

INTERNET MARKETING

I listen to the local radio from about 6:00am each morning for half an hour or so to get the local news and weather and then have national television on during breakfast for national / international news. This morning both stations majored on one topic, which seemed a great niche idea.

The niche seems to have low (UK) barriers to entry, growing internet traffic, and is well suited to all sorts of IM products. It all relates to a problem that is apparently growing very very rapidly. Its also a problem that probably already has international solutions that could be "imported" to the UK.

It's a niche that while quite appealing to me I am not currently in a position to exploit so I thought that I would offer it here if anyone is interested.

Hi Clive

I watched the morning news and missed it. Anyway - You can bounce ideas of me if you like. BTW I have found established warriors to hold confidences very safely.

Thanks, but I'm not interesting in this niche idea myself at the moment - about six months ago I would have loved it.

Sorry, will get round to replying to everyone eventually - I've had quite a good response.

As with any quite narrow niche, if too many people target it it will not work well. I thought that if I disclose the idea to 10 people (the first 10 who asked) 5 would ignore it, 5 would research it and 2 might implement it and get good results. On the same argument, if I disclosed it to everyone, more than 20 might implement something and the niche is not ready for that and returns would not be good (and people might curse me rather than thank me!).
