*Directory Submitter -- IM Wishlist Dilemma!

i know that this is an intricate question, but if someone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded Directory submitter from Brad Callen -- IM Wishlist!

However, I have 2 questions about the system that Brad doesn't elaborate in in his video tutorial...

1st... for some of the websites that we submit a link to, it states the following about Reciprocal Link URL's == (Here is an example)

*Reciprocal Link URL:

"To validate the reciprocal link please include the
following HTML code in the page at the URL's
specified above, before submiting this form:"

<a href="Blah blah blah'com">just an example!</a>
-------------
So, what do we do in this situation? Does that mean that I HAVE to copy
& Paste that code into my website in order to submit, and what link do I
put in the reciprocal link URL field?

Also, can we submit sites to the directories other than our main blog or
website? Like an Ezine Article, or Squidoo Lens... etc?

    When selecting a directory for submission, take notice of their submission requirements. Usually, a reciprocal link is an option that is offered for a free link submission. However, some directories require a reciprocal link in order for you to submit to them.

    If you choose to give them the link, or it is required, they would like the page url that you have added their link to so that they can verify that it exists.

    If you would like to stay away from this situation you can easily do so as there are thousands of directories available for your submission. Review the filters offered with Directory Submitter and select those directories that best meet your desires.

    As far as the submission of an Ezine Article, or a Squidoo lens I don't think that would work (though I'm not sure as I have never tried either).

    Most directories I am aware of prefer your home/index page to be submitted, although I have seen a couple that allow a deeper page link to be submitted.

      Tom, when dealing with WDs Web Directories, you essentially have three options for inclusion.

      (1). Paid Inclusion - this means that your submission is made live, usually within 24 to 96 hours. The problem when doing mass submissions is that you can easily run up a $5000.00 tab if you paid 250 WDs for inclusion.

      (2). Reciprocal Link Inclusion - this system is set up like a two way link system. They give you a link and you give them a link on your home page. The problem with this method is, if you opted for it, you could easily end up with a couple hundred or more OBLs on your home page. Not good! If you opt for this path, most WDs make your link live within 7 days or so.

      (3). Free Inclusion - this path allows you to engage in mass submissions without the costs or reciprocal links. It typically takes anywhere from one week to three months for these links to go live. Percentage wise, around 11% to 35% of these links go live within the the first week that you submit them.

      When submitting to WDs, you need to give yourself around three to five months before you see the results. [Unless] you go back and grab all of those links and bookmark and ping them, which I would gently advise against.

      As far as using BCs submitter, you would do W-A-Y much better utilizing the DigiXmas system. With DigiXmas you can submit much much faster. You can track your submissions. You never have to visit any site. You will avoid duplicate submissions and their databases are kept up to date.

      In addition, NONE of the standalone systems such as BCs (Which I own) is going to give you what you need because once you purchase them, the owner/programmer has no incentive to keep the database current. And that's just one of the many issues you are going to have with the current software you are using.
