Do videos without ANY controls tick you as much as me?

Does video without controls convert better or does it tick you off as much as it does me?

Couldn't even see how long the video was, sat there for about 10 minutes deciding whether it was worth it to keep listening. Never did find out what the product was or did, only listening to him telling me what I already knew.

No pause or fast forward and I couldn't even tell how long the video was, and I never did find out.

I was only subscribed because he's an well known marketer and did come out with some good stuff, but this only converted me into an unsubscriber. If I ever listen to his sales pitch again I'd have to really, really want the product, but it won't come from being on his list (end of rant)

These types of videos get a bit annoying for me, as you have no control over them.

Im sure they have some good impact on the readers though.

Exit Popups are annoying too, but they can double your business if used right.

    ...

Some say videos without controls pull better.

    I've never tested it.

I promo a video that has controls and it has the highest EPC of any video I've ever promoted.

Maybe it would be higher EPC if the vid didn't have controls though.

If I knew the answer, whichever made the most money, that's the one I'd promote.

    ...Because that makes more money.

You know what else is annoying?

Just about everything that makes money.

    Think about it...

Having to opt-in to get a gift.

    Upsells.

    Ads on a website.

    ...

If I cared about the pet peeves of prospects, then I wouldn't be in this business.

Two emails I now delete at once:

    1) "Exciting video...."

    2) "Free...."

I don't like them at all because my firefox tends to have some crash happy days and then i have to listen to the same video about a dozen times from the beginning since it restarts and i can't skip ahead...i'm pretty patient and just mute out what i've already heard but i doubt anyone else would do that, at least not a dozen times! i just like to hear how and what they are selling but i don't buy anything, ever really.

I agree with Jenn! It's pretty annoying when you have to watch the start to finish again and again. Most online users sure like to have control. So were you ever able to subscribe from his list?
