Want an awesome Idea for Creating Videos?
I just filmed a large batch of videos for myself, and a few clients to use for internal projects, website, and television commercials.
As always, when confronted with something just a bit out of the ordinary, its tough to set up for something like this and achieve exceptional results. Whether its proper lighting, microphones, camera equipment, whatever, any little thing can make the video less than exceptional.
So here's a suggestion for you, that worked brilliantly for us. We decided instead to locate a local video production studio with all of the equipment handy. After doing the research, it turns out that the local Public Television station had not 1, but 3 full pages on their website about all of their production facilities that were available for rent.
I called them up, explained what we were doing. Their questions were, "how many cameras/operators will you want?", "will you need a video production truck for field work?", "did you want that in hi-def?", "Oh sure, we have all of the studio stage setups, furniture, screens, teleprompters, mikes, camera's, etc. and all that too. And we'll send you home with the DVD's of everything we tape, or we can do the final editing for you too if you'd like."
So the bottom line....These guys have state of the art equipment, and they felt embarrassed to tell me, when I asked, that it would probably cost, "Oh, well....gee, maybe $500 for a full day."
So, if you want some totally, 'blow your socks off' video work done, call your local PBS folks
