Only for newbies without their first website
Hi Here is something i just learned as a newbie (still am) when you open your first hosting pakage you usually get a free domain name a (.com) value $10... This is great, well i suggest get your First choice domain name from a dedicted Domain like godaddy or Namecheap.
Why , I also thought whats the differnence its still a .com and free and if i need more i can just get more form my host no transfer needed.
But learned that if you are accused of scamming, spammin etc or other not great practises which easily can happen unintentionally doing IM then you have lost your name, or best case have alot of work getting it up and running again. So by all means take the free.com but make sure that name is one you can afford to loose and always back up your site content especially if alot of work has gone into it so it can easily be restarted should the unthinkable happen and you loose your site.,
Plus if you find a better host its much easier to move the godaddy one that the one from your host. Hope someone found that helpful, it made me more aware when i found out.
