Ezine will let you know if it is too much. When you click submit a pop up with say that your keyword % is too high. You just remove some and try again. When you are at the maximum it will allow you to submit.

Note: this isn't the same as submitting for review and getting flagged. It's an automatic part of the submission process and won't affect how long it takes to go live.

Keep it to about 3 times in your article. The main thing I suggest is to use LSI in your articles. Find related keywords you can use in your articles and sprinkle them in there.

You will be quite surprised when you find yourself ranking for more than one term with that same article. This allows you to leverage from traffic from each article you write.

Second that, look for synonymous keywords and use them too. EZA are quite strict in this sense. I remember I once featured a keyword phrase 4 times in a 400 word article and they denied it.

Replaced with a few synonymous terms and it was all good.

As Steven pointed out 2% is the keyword density rule for EZA. For a typical 450 word article you can use it in the article title, in the 1st sentence of the first paragraph, in the 3rd paragraph and in the resrouce box.

One thing I want to point out is if you trigger EZA's keyword density violation instead of getting rid of the keyword try adding more words to your article.

In many cases a few extra sentences that add value to the article is all you need to bring the 2% filter back down to acceptable levels.

    Respectfully,
    Tim
