Will You Tweet Your Aweber Autoresponder Emails?

I just got the email about Aweber now implementing the system where you select syndication via Twitter to your emails that go out.

At first I was thinking, "No - they didn't sign up to my list so I won't bother them." But my follower ARE following me.

But then - what if they're on my list too? Won't it annoy them to get Tweets and Emails about the same thing?

Hmmmm...

What to do, what to do...?

I think it is great personally. It gives you a bigger reach then just your normal list and can be a way to turn your Twitter followers into opt ins on your list.

Just like anything on Twitter if they are already on your list they can just ignore that tweet and move on. Some people are on Twitter more then they check there email anyway or are at least more receptive while on Twitter and will click on the link in Twitter more then they would open the email broadcast.

Don't forget that if you have Twitter linked to Facebook or Squidoo you can now broadcast an email that will show up not only on Twitter, but for all your Facebook friends as well as Squidoo readers and so on.

    The potential is huge.

Are the Aweber Tweets just going to be a link? I don't think it will end up being very effective if so.

    Hey Tiffany,

I'm currently not with Aweber anymore, I use GetResponse. however, if I was still with Aweber I would probably consider using this feature.

I automatically tweet my blog posts and all my articles. This really helps in building a relationship with your subscribers on Twitter in my opinion.

Most people seem to like it whenever they get a tweet from me informing them of a new blog post or a new article. As long as you are publishing great content I do not think people will mind.

This is what makes me think it will be worthwhile Shannon...

Twitter traffic always comes when I put up tweets to my new blog posts and pages etc..

Followers are definitely responsive and they would soon stop following if they didn't want to hear it

Even if you mailed every day, that's only one tweet a day... far from over the line for anyone.

However, I wonder how it will futz with the open and click numbers for the crossover between followers/subscribers...

Ultimately, they're doing what you want but it could shift some metrics.

    Cool feature. Go Tom, go.
