Have you heard of these micro niche sites? do they work?

Hi,
I've been receiving emails telling me about microniche sites built on just one product.
You create a blog with the name of the product on the domain name and write three articles every second day.

You do a bit of SEO and then submit to RSS sites and to a few social media sites.

Have you guys done that? any success?

    There are dozens of threads on this subject (try a forum search on "micro niche site") and yes, many people are making money this way.

      I was making money with these but then sold all my sites when google recently updated its search. Micro niche sites are built around long tail keywords. Long tail tactics don't work as well as they did with this new google update. That was the point of the update.

    For the moment, I am using wordpress MU blogs. They are free and high ranking I hear.
    Just testing things around.
