I just uploaded the ProSense theme to WP and now I want to delete the blogroll and Meta section but cannot figure out how to do it. Hopefully someone can help before I pull my hair out! :p

You can usually get rid of these in the Widgets section. In your Wordpress dashboard go to Appearance -->Widgets

You can also edit the Blogroll under Links-->Edit

      Tabatha,

On Prosense, you cannot remove the default sidebar widgets. By default, if you took all widgets out manually, here is what will still show; pages, archives, categories, recent entries, and meta. Since this theme was designed over 5 years ago with no new versions of this, I'm afraid you won't be able to manually get rid of it yourself.

There is one way left to remove these two things, it is to get a Wordpress coder that can go into the editor and directly remove the code for your sidebar. Unfortunately, I don't know, but maybe you can make a shout out to someone on the WF that can do it for you. But remember, if you do remove that code, you will not be able to get that back. If you remove meta.....then, everytime you want to login to your blog you have to enter in the URL window, www.YourDomain.com/wp-admin to get to your WP login screen.

I would suggest you switch out your theme to a newer designed on as they are more flexible for settings of adding and deleting more things on a blog. Prosense is quite old.

On most themes with default sidebars you simply drag another widget over to that sidebar and it overrides the default ones.

Appearance>Widgets on the right side of your theme you will see the contents "Meta" and "blogroll". To the right of the name you will see a dropdown arrow, click it. This opens the widget settings, just look at the bottom of the settings for that widget and click "delete".

I don't know Prosense - but - wordpress adds those widgets by default.

Just drag a blank text widget into the sidebar and all the original, default widgets will disappear.

You can't delete them, because they don't appear on the list of widgets.

Thanks for the help everyone. I didn't realize that Prosense has been around that long! I decided to keep it though because I like the simple layout and I did finally get rid of the blogroll but ended up keeping the Meta.

Making your own thread on this issue will allow others to assist you easier. Also, trying to ad adsense and affiliate codes to what theme? And where in the theme?
