What are the big differences between a "Yahoo Answers" Type Script and a Forum
I have a site with a steady flow of visitors and many repeat visitors. I have always stayed away from adding a forum for a few reason -- one is that there are already forums in my space that are popular, but an even bigger reason is that I know forums can take a lot of work to keep clean and civilized (and they aren't the easiest things to monetize).
I am thinking now about a Yahoo Answers type script. It would seem that it might be a little more focused than a forum, and so possibly easier to keep clean, but, essentially, it seems that these "answer" scripts are really almost like forums.
Any thoughts on differences, advantages/disadvantages, etc.?
Although Google has shut down their "Answers" site (I guess their model of paying for answers didn't work), these answer type places seem as popular as ever.
