Oh NO not another newbie!

Hi to everyone

I've been lurking in the shadows of the warrior forum for a while now, reading through posts just trying to soak up as much information as possible.

As you guessed, yes I'm a newbie.

I became interested in making money online around 6 years ago. I planned on starting a business selling body building supplements as this was a market I was particularly interested in, so I sourced lots of suppliers & started building a website ( I had one made as I knew nothing about websites ) but I just couldn't seem to get it off the ground.

I tried for a couple of years but the profit margins were very low, its was hard work shipping products & there was lots of big competition so I gave up!

But I didn't give up on trying to start a business online...

So I would spend some time every day searching the internet to see what ways there were to making money online, I ran into many get rich quick schemes, as a newbie I was easy picking but I soon worked them out for what they really were. - Rubbish!

So I kept searching, reading, watching & I kept coming across something called "internet marketing" - I'm sure you've heard of it.

So I looked a little deeper into IM, I came across some people claiming to be gurus but a closer background search & they were not what they claim to be. So much crap out there, it's a real mine field.

Fortunately I found a great membership site ran by Chris Farrell, now finally I found what I was looking for, I've learned some incredible stuff from Chris & it's lead me onto some other great internet marketers. I'm learning from Chris Farrell, Kim Roach & Simon Coulson at the moment & of course you guys at the warrior forum.

I'll be here picking your brains for a long time, well until I reach my first million!

Thanks for taking the time to read my post, I hope I've not went on to much.

Barry

Hi Barry, welcome to the forum. You'll find a mine of information here. Make sure you don't let it overwhelm you so that you end up permanent research mode rather than action mode. Good luck with your mentoring and your new IM business

      Thanks for your reply Jonny

One thing you can be sure of is I will NEVER give up, If I'm sitting here 20 years later still trying then so be it.

I've got quite a few plans that I'll be working on...

      I'm starting with affiliate marketing.

I'm also going to start building a list.

I would like to create my own products.

& some time in the future I'd like to create my own membership site.

Welcome to the forum barry. You will reach your goals online, but the most important thing would be to have the right mindset to succeed. Don't give up and you will make it.

Ya Barry take Balfours advice and stay persistent with one thing. And the other key factor is just to start. Take action and don't look back.

Sounds like you've got a good start to me, Barry. I second what the other warriors have said about sticking to one thing. That was my early downfall. I was every Internet marketer's dream subscriber because I bought everything (and have the outrageous credit card bills to prove it). You've got a good mentor, so you're already way ahead of the game. Plus, it sounds like you've got a good attitude too... winning combination!

Your first $37 spent here should be on the War Room.

Thereafter, don't spend so much as a DIME on any WSO unless you earned it online.

That rule alone will force you to move forward instead of spinning your wheels on one WSO after another. Want that $77 WSO on some neat new method you'd like to try? Better get those affiliate commissions rolling in. And who knows, maybe getting that $77 in commission will show you that you don't need that WSO after all.

Fully agree to this advice. The War Room is easily worth 100 WSOs! For $37, you're getting great advice from the pros and you must check that out before buying any WSO.

Yep, do only minimal investment with money from the "outside" and after finding you can use only the bucks you've earned online, it will actually force you to earn them...

            Hey Barry,

You picked a great niche to start with.
There are a lot of people in the Health
and Fitness niche who promote body
supplements but don’t get any results
as they make a couple of basic mistakes.

            Here's a big hint...

Be sure to start building a list.

That's brilliant advice! I swear I'm never buying another thing until I'm really rocking and rolling on the things I already do - and you're right, I don't need to buy anything because it's all going good already. Welcome Newbie - good luck!

My only recommendation is to stay focused on one thing.

Welcome to the forum Barry. My advice would be to pick one thing and take action. Dont spend too much time in the planning or researching phase cause many people tend to never get out of those phases and thus never take action.

    HI Barry

From another newbie. I have read the replies from others and can only agree wholeheartedly with the fact that dont get overwhelmed with to much info. Try not to get distracted and have aclear plan. Stick to it and you'll be fine. Like Jonny (Balfour) I am with Alex Jeffreys coaching program and its the best thing to get a mentior which it sounds like you have. My learning has exploded since then!! Believe it or not I have just created my first free report.....something I thought was impossible 6 weeks ago!! LOL. Good luck my friend

Good stuff. You are doing it the right way. Read, learn, read, absorb, read more. And then Try something. Reading and learning from other's experience is critical, but in the end there's no substitute for just having a go.

Experiment intelligently. By that I mean try things out, but not randomly. Decide what you want to try / prove / disprove and then follow it through right to the end. Many people try a scattergun approach, get some minorly good results for a while, but have no idea why. In reality they then spend 90% of their time doing things that are worthless.

Experiment, but always with a purpose and you can have great success.

    Good luck!

    Hi Barry,

Your story pretty much reflects the life of all of us here in the Warrior Forum. But remember that it is all about hard work.

Be sure to implement, implement and implement.

Just don't forget to pick yourself up when you fall. Just keep on pushing and eventually, you'll reap success.

    Hey Barry,

Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of very good people on here and plenty of really great information on making money online. It can get overwhelming at times, but I'm sure you've been through that stage already.

I look forward to toasting your success when you get to your first million.

newbies mainly fail due to too much hype, and buying pointless ebooks that are floating around from the 90's...

it's truly sad to see how many (97%) failing in this industry and struggling to
    eben a measly $5k a month...

but for all newbies out there, best advice is: never to give up!!!

    all the best my friends

Same here Barry, but you know almost all information can be found online for free. You just have to be good at finding them. I used to be overwhelmed with all the information and with all the new strategies coming out from these "gurus." What I did is just stick to single technique that I am comfortable doing and move on to another one after mastering the first one. Seeing some result, even small results could really give a push.
