How do people make money via facebook?

I have been reading various methods to make money on facebook via creating fan pages and getting a ton of people to sign up for the page....

OK, so after you have alot of sign-ups then what?

I just looked at a couple fan pages that both had over 5,000 fans. I was looking around to see what someone would make money on and all I saw was a couple ads over on the right for medicare supplement insurance (non related to fan page) and something about doughnut coupons (again non related)

What am I missing? Does the owner of the page just send those 5K fans of that particular interest just a bunch of emails somehow related to the topic and hoping they buy something?

Is there something more to it? I know it's a newbie question, but then again, i am a newbie.

    You can promote your online business via facebook and it can really give you good return for the work, Just by seeing what others are doing will not work you need to work on the ideas of yours to get the result to get anywhere on facebook fanpage or on any site...

    You need to interact with your Facebook friends. Rather than think about making money from them try and add value. Make some posts about things that will interest them and throw in the odd link to a CPA offer...i.e. "just found this great free offer..."

    I post about 5 or 6 items of interest to every link to a CPA offer.

      Hello, there are a lot of ways people make money on facebook but let me briefly explain some ways I personally use to make more than $200 daily on facebook.

      I have been using groups and not fan pages because you can use a facebook group to send message to all members. If you send them to a CPA for example, the conversion would be very high. Usually 30-40 conversion rate. As for fan pages, it has some features too which one can use to make money but most people prefer it to group to promote their website. The best is to figure out which one is best for you. But either, GROUPS, FAN PAGES or STATUS UPDATE, one can make money on facebook easily. It is what I do and teach people too.

      That is unethical and truly breaking the terms and conditions of that site. Expect to be banned if you do that not the best advice you can give..



      Anyway, the key to Facebook is to experiment with different "Liked pages" or fan pages..and once you have thousands and thousands of fans, build a list.
