Subject line ideas for JV proposal

Dear Warriors,

I'd love to hear your opinions on what subject lines to write for a jv proposal, I use "Hi xxx, here's a JV proposal that your readers will love" and the likes a lot, which I don't think is working very well.

What do you use for subject lines when you send a jv proposal to list owners? I'd appreciate any input on this matter, I assume many of us could need some tips on crafting a better subject line to attract jv deals.

Thanks a bunch in advance, have a good day warriors.

      Joint Venture.

My understanding of a JV is a little different than most people's. I always think of a JV as being "let's work together to produce a product, then split the sales revenue."

Other people seem to think of it as "email your list about my product and I'll pay you a commission." Which, as I understand it, is an affiliate program... not a joint venture.

Any JV, in my mind, implies that we're going to work together on creating a product that is specifically tailored to our customers - and then we're both going to email the offer to our lists on launch day.

But in general, I get people who come to me with a completed product and want me to email my list because they don't have one. They also tend to offer insultingly low commissions, and be completely mystified when I ask them "why do my customers want this?" - I had one guy come to me with a forex product last month, and he didn't seem to understand why I felt it was inappropriate for my list of IM customers. Let alone why a 15% commission didn't interest me.

Actually, your understanding of many things is different from most people's... but that's what I LIKE about your comments! You see things the way they really are (or should be). I wish my brain was as sharp! I'm gonna have to start following more of your posts! The distinction you make between a JV and an affiliate promotion is right on! Most JVs these days are mutual affiliate promotions.

To be honest, I'll open anything with JV in the subject so don't worry about it too much.

Weather or not I reply depends on:
    1. If you can speak english
    2. How big your list is
    3. If you have a serious site

I cant help you with #1, but if you have a small list make sure you include a link to your site in the email.

If the site is decent and looks like it will convert you should get some interest.

When it comes to JV, I think the content of your message / product would more important than the subject line.

Well it's a lot better than "Ranj...I'm VERY Disappointed in you!" which is a common title I'm seeing in a lot of emails. I'm like "What the heck did I do now?!?!"
          LOL!

LOL! OK I'm not alone... I wonder what their open rate is for that subject line.

I'm sure I bring their numbers down because I never open those emails... maybe they're disappointed in me because they know that I'll delete their email without reading it LOL!

            Oh well.. back to work.

    Here's the deal.

If you want to do a JV partnership with someone, try building a relationship with them first and be friends with them. Think about it, who is more likely to read your offer and accept it: Your friend or A random person that doesn't even know who you are.

EDIT: Let me also add some tips on how you can be friends with some random person on the internet.

Do they have a blog? Comment on it.
Do they have a forum? Participate on it.
Do they have a twitter? Be friends with them.
Do they participate on some forum? Go to that forum and reply to their threads.

In simple words, just find them and let them know you exist. And remember, DON'T even talk about anything "business" when you are approaching them. Just be friends and when you are on good talking terms then you can ask them about a promotion anytime.

    Hope it helped

Thats true, especially if you don't have a big list. But really they're not going to say no to somebody with a list who can actually do sales.

PS There's a whole section of the warrior forum dedicated to this http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-joint-ventures/

Thanks a bunch warriors! None of you gave me tips on coming up with a better jv proposal subject line, but I think you have helped me better than that.

CDarklock Thanks for stressing the importance of cooperating and working together, instead of treating your "jv" partner like a list.

Mohammad Afaq Thank you for bring out the universal rule of building relationship first. I come from China where relationship is EVERYTHING when it comes to anything. I should have been aware of this better. Thanks for getting that back to my consciousness.

I appreciate all of your feekbacks, and now I don't think I will need a world-class headline to attract a jv deal. That is simply not the most important key.

    Regards warriors,

Hi, could you give me an example for this? I didn't quite get it...

"I'll make you an offer you can't refuse"

      This one is good......

I've been using "Hi xxx, here's a thank you message and a jv (sometims joint venture) proposal (your readers will love it)!" these days, and honestly the subject line really doesn't matter a lot. I've received only two replies so far, but it's surprisingly good news that these two folks have the largest related list to my product. Not bad for such a lame subject line, huh?

Then I will follow the advice of working with them together instead of affiliate-promoting them, it really benefits the both of you when you're trying to build a good business relationship with good faith.

      Back to work.
