Hello!

As you mentioned, there are hundreds if not thousands of methods to drive traffic to your website. Some of them are quick and the others take time.

My favorite way to drive traffic fast is ad swaps. It can drive over 300 visitors overnight to your website.

But you need to have a list first if you want to engage in swapping ads with other marketers out there. That said, your list does not have to be so big. If you have a few hundreds or more, you can think about ad swaps.

Ad Swaps and Solo Ads are definitely a great way to boost your traffic, as well as sales.

JV'ing with other marketers is always a good idea, I'm currently JV'ing with several marketers on the Warrior Forum.

I think the fastest method to bring traffic to a website is using ppc advertising, but you have to be careful with this method, you can get burned fast if you don't know what to do...and after that of course there are email lists and joint ventures...
It's recommended though to test and see what suits u best.

paid traffic is the fastest way to drive traffic to your site.

I think that you should use paid traffic to get the data on what keyword actually make you money, then use seo to target those keywords.

  PPC is one of the fastest ways to gain traffic to your site, mix it up with list building, then once you have a huge subscribers base, then that will be faster. If you have enough budget, combine paid methods with free methods. Spend money in PPC, PPV, solo mailing ads, media buys, then include some of the free methods for long-term effect like article marketing, blog commenting, guest blogging, forum advertising. While you are doing those things, don't forget to also build your mailing list, you can build your list by doing all those things and set-up an opt-in form for the customers to enter their details in exchange of a valuable gift you're offering.

  Fastest traffic is PPC and media ads like banners - that's immediate traffic.
  But you have to factor in the time you'll need to spend on educating yourself on PPC for instance,because PPC is notorious for having people loosing their shirt in over-excitement about fast profits.

PPC is the fastest way to get traffic to your site or an affiliate link. With that being said though, if you don't know what your doing, PPC could really put you in the hole financially.

Proper Research, Research, Research will get you where you want to be if you decide to use PPC. Otherwise, you can write unique quality articles and submit them to some directories.

i'd say partnering with another site or company that already has the traffic you want, and setting up a joint venture with them to endorse your site is the fastest way to get targeted traffic.

If you are promoting an affiliate product through a landing page, ppc may prove the best option. But if you are promoting a Blog or a content website where ad revenue is the main stream, ppc is probably not the way to go.

Both working well.. again, as mentioned earlier in this thread.. research, research..is very important before you jump to PPC while email marketing if you build it by yourself its took time..anyway its well worth if you create good relationship with your subcriber. Then, this mailing list could be your first traffic to your newly launched website/blog.

The fastest? Probably a mailing to your own list. Since you can send a broadcast and within a minute or two start getting hits. PPC would also be very fast.

(1) Targeted/Quality Traffic

(2) Untargeted/Non-Quality Traffic

If your site simply needs a lot of visitors fast to impress and to be accepted by CPA Networks, you can purchase "Email To All" Advertising Package from "donkeymails.com" for $9.9. You can get thousands of visitors overnight. This is untargeted/non-quality Traffic.

If your site needs visitors who will buy--the quality traffic--the fastest free method I know to get them is Article Marketing:
(1) Write a good "How-To" article that's relevant to your site
(2) Write a good description for the "About The Author" section of your article, insert a link to your site and give the readers something to visit your site.
(3) Use a good Article Submitter software to submit it to hundreds of Article Directories. (You can google "Article Submitter Software" to get it.)

Like everyone is saying, PPC is the fastest way to drive traffic to a new site but you can also try Social Media. Social Media Marketing doesn't have any direct costs except for your time... Try building a following and you can get some decent traffic pretty fast.

Check out StumbleUpon. I know a few people who got a ton of traffic from StumbleUpon.

Lots of votes for ppc but ppc is not the same as it used to be a year ago. Should probably clarify ppc versus Google AdWords as two different thing. It's one thing to consider a normal ppc campaign where YOU are in control of your outcome like using non-AdWords ppc systems. However, if you do include AdWords in the mix, you have to have an additional strategy in place. And that strategy needs to include what action you take when your AdWords account gets shut down. And, it will be shut down, especially if you try to ramp up too fast.

Once your account gets shut down, your terminated account will usually be tied to your credit card. And, to get traffic again with Google AdWords, you will have to get a new credit card to use. This may often mean going to your family or friends and negotiating a deal with them that you use their credit card for payments to Google and cut them in for a share of order payments.

Google is just simply being vicious right now with AdWords accounts and shut downs. Actually, they have been very aggressive with shut downs since November 2009.

Before you put ppc on the top of your recommendations list, remember that the ppc route with Google is not nearly as much in your control as it used to be. So, you'd better have some traffic building alternatives in your plan.

Sara, I agree with you... However I think that PPC can get expensive if the person does not know or understand how to use it well. I always recommend that people develop a strategy for using PPC and only use it to reinforce other campaigns.

Paid traffic is INDEED the fastest way to get traffic. SEO is free but takes a lot of hard work and time, especially if the person is doing it alone.

My favorite way of driving fast traffic is press release submission to free press release sites. Many press release sites publish your press release instantly and if you build a few powerful backlinks around those PRs, you get good ranking in search engines. I have been making nice affiliate income by submitting only press releases.

IM is about quality. But some methods are faster than others... and I truly believe you can get good quality leads from PPC, if you're setting up your campaigns correctly.

PPC, JV's, Solo Ads <-- Those are all pretty instant. Unless, in the case of PPC, you're ad doesn't get any impressions or your keyword doesn't get search for much.

Here's a really easy way to get hundreds of visitors fast!

Put up a website or domain for sale on Flippa and add a link to your website to sign up if they want to be notified when you have more sites or domains for sale.

You can use that method to build your email list too!

PPC is the fastest way to get visitors, but the fastest way isn't always the best way as you will need to test, tweak alot of stuff.

JV is by far the easiest way to get Traffic, and bank sales.

stick with one and master it. that's the secret.

I know PPC is the best choice for fast traffic, but I think it is getting more and more competitive on that front. So, I like just building up my traffic to any new blog, the correct way. In the long run, you get to the first page of search engines if you do your homework.
