$150.00-$200.00 A Day....How Do You Do It?

Hi Warriors,

I am looking for some good honest feedback on this, but first here is my story. I got started in IM October 26, 2006 and have yet to find my groove in IM. My biggest problem I feel is that I don't stick with something long enough to see any results, and determine if what I am doing is correct. This is a trait of my ADHD (no excuse) I have been in no less than 8 different programs, 3 of which have been high ticket items where I have spent upwards of $10,000 in each of them just to get started, let alone market them. That being said I have been focusing on affiliate marketing now for about the last year, and have also spent around $6,000 on courses on so on. I have learned a lot and have the fundamentals just a problem executing them.

That being said I have set out a goal for myself to achieve in the next 30 days. That goal is to earn between $150-$200 a day. I know it possible I just have to set my mind to it. I am looking for a path I can follow to achieve this goal. Any comments on this or feedback would be greatly appreciated. I am also looking for someone in the form of a mentor, coach, or guiding light. Thanks for you time warriors, and I look forward to any feedback.

Regards,

Jamie Kochan

OMG talk a bout crashing and burning. If you had spent all that money on buying articles you would be a rich man.

Sorry that didn't help..but I can't understand how people can just throw so much money....you need to focus and work your ass off.

Um...not really. There is the matter of knowing what to do with the articles.

The problem isn't that he bought a few high ticket items...it's that he never committed to following through with them.

I would start with small goals:

Focus on earning an average of $1 a day, then $5, then $10, THEN focus on earning enough to cover some of the utility bills for the month. THEN, focus on covering all the bills for the month. ... Now we are cooking with gasoline! : )

If you know how to manage and maintain your own site, you already know more than enough to go out and make your own success. Sly Stallone says: "The world meets nobody half way. If you want it, you gotta' take it." You know what needs to be done, now go out and do it!

No more buying and making other people rich. No more WF for you!

Oh my god! That is a lot of cash.

If I were you I’d spend less on IM products. Use the time to read more in these forums, and in the War room. Develop an approach and stick to it. Use some of the cash you’ve saved on WSOs to outsource as much of what you do as possible, so you are spending your precious time on tweaking ideas to make money out of them.

If you want to make $200 guaranteed then the easiest way is to get a full time job! You can still use evenings and weekends to develop your IM ideas. Once they take off then you can jack in the day job and go full time.

All those money would've been better spent on CPC, PPV or media buys
campaigns and instead of burning money you would've had stable recurring
    income streams.

If you're going the affiliate route, I recommend CPC with yahoo or bing,
CPV with mediatraffic, media buys - buysellads or adbrite.

You need 2 things .. going wide ... launching a lot of campaigns & tracking
    to identify the winners.

You will probably lose some money in the beginning, but tracking will reveal
real hidden diamonds who'll make up for all the losses.

I have campaigns where I spend $3 to make $20 commission (granted there's
not a lot of traffic in that niche) but it ads up quickly when you have 30-40
    profitable campaigns.

The key is in taking action.

I would say that if you have spent so much money on courses, then in there somewhere must be a nugget of gold. Maybe you could use a section from each course you have signed up to and seek out your own little niche.

It's true, you can find just about everything you need here on this forum, however, I would recommend you do not discard the products you have already paid for, I would bet that there is money to be made there...

Take a break for a while and then come back to them, you never know your initial interest my be ignited again...

If you need to make some instant money (or almost instant) I would recommend freelancing a little bit - writing articles for clients, either public, semi-private or private. I spend my days doing that part-time and doing IM stuff part-time.

And perhaps cut down on the spending... Ernie's probably right. Even if you didn't get rich paying for articles, you might be a lot further. Actually, if you want to cut out spending altogether, write your own articles for IM and start driving traffic SOMEWHERE. Pick a niche and stick with it for a while - two niches at a time at most, at least until you start getting some results.

I've heard of a program called FocusBooster - I haven't used it, but I think it's free. You might try it just to stay on one project long enough to see results.

      Hope that helps!

Affiliate marketing is a great business model, and I would suggest that you browse around this forum, and look at only FREE sources with regards to affiliate marketing. Many people sell these "business opportunities," and most of them are not even worth half of what they charge with them.

Amazing - with that kind of money you must have found a number of good courses. How about trying to implement just one of the many good courses that you ought to have?

As long as you can differentiate what sounds legitimate and what does not, you should be able to decide which one single of them to implement. And then just go ahead with the implementation.

And by the way, use some of this huge wealth to buy services rather than products - for example, SEO services that may bring you close to the top in Google as long as you have started off making a single website !!

You cant go wrong writing high quality targeted articles for good keywords and then building backlinks to the articles.

Over time this activity will move your articles on to the first page of google depending on the competition in the niche.

Then you have a high quality piece of content sitting on the first page for a good keyword with a link directly to your site.

Repeat for each high quality, medium competition keyword in the niche and you're golden!

        Andrew

P.S. Try using an open loop to conclude your article for vastly better click throughs to your site. Instead of giving your article a full conclusion restating what the reader learned and so on, you give solid content up until the end. Then briefly close the article without a full conclusion.

This is followed by a quick benefit rich authors box. I like to start the authors box with the word "next". This way the article ends without a formal close, then they see the word next and their eyes follow. Then naturally they'll click on the link if you have a few compelling reasons to do so.

I am sure the path you are looking for is in the materials you have already purchased. By your own admission you have not stuck with something long enough to see results so it doesn't matter if someone here offers you are "new" path to follow, it will not work if you don't work it. Go back and re-read some of the courses you already have and implement the strategies until they work.

      Hello Warriors,

Thank so much for the feedback you have provided thus far. The one thing is with the high ticket items they never really provided any real IM training, just the opportunity to earn large commissions for those who marketed correctly. I am sure you all know the products I am referring to. Regardless I realize there are a million ways to market, just got to focus on one at a time.

Change your mindset from being a "customer" to being a "marketer".

For the amount of money you've spent you probably have several blueprints that would earn income if you would choose ONE and follow it all the way through.

Don't expect any one method to provide every ounce of advice you need as you may have to spend time here and on google looking up things you don't know how to do and learning to do them.

Don't focus on "$150-200 a day in 30 days." It's not productive if you haven't yet earned anything after a year or two.

Instead, focus on earning your first dollar - then your first $100 and build from there. Don't read sales pages - don't worry about new launches - use what you have and work one thing until you know it inside and out and are earning with it.

I thought I would come back in here!

The above is excellent advice, I would also recommend Begbie's advice, I know it's hard to do but I would really consider cancelling ALL your subscriptions to the 'Gurus' newsletters, which to be fair are nothing more than sales pitches with the odd free tit-bit! (At least until you are hardened to them, some are good value and will teach you stuff, others are just a re-hash of something elase!)

Once you have cancelled all of them there will be no more distractions, you will not be tempted to buy 'The Next Big Thing' and forget all you have bought before and start something else!

I am 100% sure that there must be something in the courses you have bought already; focus on just one thing at a time. Just about everyone on here has given this advice... maybe, just maybe that is your achilles heel - follow one thing to the end, master it, start making money from it and then try to add another string to your bow!

Another issue that may be playing in the back of you mind is belief! You may start all these courses and get to a point where you think "this is all very well for them but it wont work for me!". You have to have 'belief' in your own 'potential', take 'action' to see 'results'. This works in a circle, if you take 'action' and see 'results' this will boost your 'belief' in you 'potential'!
On the flip side, if you do not 'believe' in your 'potential' then you will take very little 'action' and thus, very little 'results'! Sound fair??

          So...

          · Cancel all the Guru newsletters
          · Re-read the stuff you have already got
          · Stay focused on ONE course
          · Actually complete the course!!
          · Belief - Potential - Action - Results
          · Set your goals (Where do you want to be in 1 - 2 - 5years!
          · Set your milestones = $1.00 - $10.00 - $100.00 - $500-00 - $1,000.00 and so on...

Just believe in yourself, and I mean truly believe and you can achieve anything!

These are just my thoughts, hope there is something of use there!

Keep Going, do not give up, you will get there!

          Don

You can spend money, if you spend it smart. Wink and Grow rich book says "give it and you shall receive it". So if you spend this money smart, to improve what you are doing, its well spend.
If you want to save everything, then keep this in mind...you spend everyday bases. Food, maybe car, social life. This money is gone. You will never see it.

How to stay focused? You need to have a vision. If you don't know what to do, or not having a plan. You will fail. You need to keep going. Don't stop. Its like walking. If you stop, you are not moving. Its all about your mind. Your mindset. You walk, because your mind gives you orders.

    http://www.warriorforum.com/make-mon...leon-hill.html

Read this. It is a very very good book. Another is "Wink and Grow Rich" by Roger Hamilton. I don't think its for free, but amazon sells it for $29.

Both will help you to understand, how to set your mind etc.

Wow that is alot of money. What i suggest is that you pick one method (affiliate, list building, CPA, blogging etc) and stick with it consistently.

Make sure you understand the process of which ever path you choose before implementing it. It may be a hit/miss thing so don't give up on the first try.

I found having an action plan everyday helped me to focus on what must i do. eg. today I going to write article / blog post.

Instead of buying more courses/ebooks, you should probably focus on looking through some of the materials that you have bought. I believe some of them would be useful while others might be junk. Try filtering out who provides sound advice and stick with it.

And as always take action. By doing something will be your first step to success.

    All the best.

I mean seriously consider it think of it this way they are football players and there are people that dislike to learn about football and cheer on the players. football players especially the professional ones have a certain derived that pushes them past failure and it's not really about football became it's more about football the activity.

Maybe you just like to sit back and learn as much as you can there's nothing wrong with that. Lets be honest with ourselves here for a minute and think about it.

    Hi Jamie
I was in a similar situation to yours some time ago. I spent thousands of pounds to buy different products just to learn the ropes. Unfortunately they never tell you the whole story and there are usually big and vital bits missing. There are also many different ways "to skin a cat" and you easily can get lost trying this and that. Then I decided to find a good and trustworthy mentor. I searched here and there and spoke to some people and eventually found an excellent one. He keeps his students straigh and focused on the right things leading to the planned goal ie success and money. I know that the money paid is worth every penny.

    Best regards

You do have to focus. I don't believe anyone should have to wait long periods of time to make money. When you start with a product that is in demand, big ticket or not, and you put it before the people who want it, (targeted traffic), then you get response. You can start small to perfect this system and then duplicate it to increase your income. People love for you to bring them something valuable and for you to lay out solutions for them, which should be the focus of your sales page and articles.

It's really not that hard - it just takes time and focus on a niche.

    Focus on;

    - Keywords
    - Domains selection
    - Content
    - Backlinks

Outsource your tasks that are time consuming - i.e content generation.

Add content to your sites and to other sites linking to your site.

    Build quality.

Then monetize your site and finally,

    be patient.

This implies that you are still looking at making quick money after all these years. This is the sort of mentality that makes you susceptible to enrolling in the next get rich scheme as soon as it comes out.

If you have spent that amount of money, you shouldn't be looking for a coach or mentor. You should already know more than most people here and you should be the coach.

    Hello,

I think you need to work at a set plan. Sit down and write things out. Do not put a time table on how much money you will make.

It sounds to me like you are throwing money everywhere. Guard your funds. Be a bit frugal. I agree with the one gentleman that if you have trouble writing articles, for instance, hire a copywriter. At least your putting money into the business then with more direct focus.

    HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS:

You obviously have money to spend. You're just spending it on the wrong things.

When I stated I had no money - like many - and had to build from literally under a hundred dollars.

...Since it sounds like you can't stay focused very long use that to your advantage. Forget SEO, which sounds like what you've been attempting to do, and focus on PPC.

With PPC it's a mater of testing, tracking, and growing until you start breaking even.

PoF is a good started source - just make sure to always be testing ad copy or your CTR will drop through the floor. Use dating offers with $5+ payouts on one page submits. Ask your network for photos to use.

Just a Heads Up - What is written below is from actual personal experience. If I can help you in anyway do let me know. Being stuck wondering WTF is wrong with me is painful. But things can change. You may be a mistake maker, but you are also a mistake breaker...

Dude STOP. You have a problem here and trust me I can totally relate. First you MUST work on your mindset. Something is causing a problem somewhere.

Personally I've had the most tangible results from working on my self image using Psycho Cybernetics by Maxwell maltz. The course "zero resistance living" might be a better option as it gives you day to day tasks to work on your self image and goal achievement.

Next set a specific block of time to work on your business every day. Then cut off all distraction during your work schedule. Go work OUTSIDE of your home (library, etc). This can be a huge factor psychologically. Let me explain, by going somewhere else your basically going to work. This can be just the thing you need to start taking action.

Next pick 1 plan or course you’re going to follow when you go to work. That’s all you will work on during your business hours. Use a checklist tool to figure out what task you want to accomplish for that specific day.

Focus on ONE goal or task you must complete for that day. DO NOT use a large to do list. The reason you focus on one task or goal for the day is that it's much easier to accomplish. And right now you need some confidence, momentum and good habits. Starting small will lay a foundation you can build on.

Lastly you may want to develop a morning routine or ritual you do every day before work. Personally I do some visualization and goal setting exercises along with a 20 minute workout and drinking a raw food smoothie. In total its about an hour and a half of prep.

As long as I follow my morning ritual I know I'll get work done because my mind is in a productive frame for the rest of the day.

    Hope this helps,
    Daniel D.

    - First clear your mindset.
    - Decide and choose what you want to do? Own product selling, affiliate promotion, blogging etc. (You can make money on almost anything you do but there will always be advantage and disadvantages)
    - Take action!!
    - Don't jump from one opportunity to another. Stay focused on what you do.
    - And finally you will start to see the results. Don't expect instant revenue. First start with a $1 aim in mind then aim higher and higher... I guess no one earned $100 per day when starting out (Just let us know if anyone did).

Hi there. Since you appear to get bored easily, I would suggest setting up wordpress sites and then selling them on Flippa. You can easily set up a site with 10 or so PLR articles per day and then sell the site. You would only have to focus on one site per day, so you wouldn't get bored.
