Anyone using GPAL?

I did a search of the forum and found nothing about GPal. Anyone have experience with them? All the information I found about them on the Search Engines is negative. Before I switch from PayPal (Oh My), I'd like input from the people I respect.

    Since third-party processing is actually against the Visa/MasterCart International TOS, (and consequently why PayPal's regulations seem to always fluctuate and seem outrageously strict), there probably won't be another service that can compete with them in our lifetime.

    They struck a deal with V/MC a long long time ago and the only other companies that have been able to strike similar deals have been CitiGroup, (who's venture failed due to lack of clients), and Google, (who's Checkout system hasn't publicly reported 'earnings' as of yet)... both of which obviously had the funds to sustain themselves. Sure V/MC might be striking new deals with these start-ups, but I doubt they'll be able to seriously compete in the long term; all who have tried have eventually failed.

    If you're going to move away from PayPal; take the hit on the extra expenses and get a full blown merchant account. You can even talk to your local bank nowadays about card not present processing.
