Why in the World? (Christmas.com)

Of all the beneficial things that could go on this domain....

Christmas | Get Your Christmas Cards, Decorations and Gifts @ Christmas.com

Sure, it probably makes quite a bit from those ads, but, would you do anything different to BETTER monetize it? Could be missing HUGE opportunities here....

Instead of a visitor clicking away for .30 cents....they could sell products/etc...

I would just sell the domain Probably worth a few bucks... You could make a christmas themed site obviously and make links to sales from various sites and run cpa offers. Something like that.

I would never think to type in Christmas.com at Christmas time. Its usually, Target.com or Amazon.com or Bestbuy or TigerDirect or this product name or that product name...yeah you see what I mean? Quite possibly not much traffic there just because of the name.

Or how about making something that isn't related to making money at all?

It's fine to earn money by selling something good and decent, but very often the importance of earning money is wildly exaggerated. In my opinion, for a long time Christmas has been commercialized to a unpleasant degree that is far removed from the original intention with this holiday. And it really wonders me why no one has uses this domain to share the marvellous message of Christmas.

If people were the spread the 'marvellous message of Christmas', rest assured, it would be accompanied by monetization....

"Ho-ho-ho", Santa makes kids all over the world happy, Buy this sled or buy your kids gifts through my Amazon link....

      It's inevitable...

That looks like a parked domain. They're probably hoping to sell it for a few million.
