Motivation with Article Marketing?

Hi,

I am just wondering how people go into multiple niches with the article marketing method. I find it hard to get motivated to write the amount of articles needed to use this method but I really do want to try. I know there is PPC, or get another to write for you, but at the moment I have NO money. Not sure how I'll pay my rent this month. Also, yes, I know there are niches that are of interest but I can't imagine all the IMer's out there that are making a lot of money only go into niches that interest them so I wonder how people get past this. Does it not bother them or they just make it part of the job that has to be done. It seems like a large part of the job.

Am I missing something here?

    Hi Tiffani,

Don't be discouraged. Concentrate on quality articles and not the number. It doesn't matter how many articles you write, if they're not interesting to readers they will bring you nothing. So a few good articles are far better than a lot of crappy ones. The web is littered with crappy articles and you'll stand above them with quality.

I was also overwhelmed at first and writing my first few articles was like pulling teeth. But like most things it gets easier with practice. That's why writing about something you really enjoy is important at first. Once you have your system down you can tackle more challenging subjects.

If you're short of money you obviously can't outsource but it's just as well. Unless you can pay well you will not get good articles by outsourcing. I mean, what do you really think you can get for $5?

So avoid the cheap writers and learn it yourself. And don't try to tackle multiple niches at once. It's too much. Find something you are really interested in and can write about. I've spent up to a day or more on one article but some of those articles are still making sales for me two years later. The system does work.

Don't get stuck on article marketing only. Write a couple articles, do some blog posting, and try some PPC when you've got a little money. And then do another article when you're fresh. Most people can't write well day in and day out.

There is a way to outsource with no money. Find a neighbor, college student, or high school kid to write articles for you. Tell them you are an Internet marketer and you will do all of the marketing and they will do the writing and you will split the commissions with them.

You could make it for a certain period of time. For example, you will split the commissions for 60 days for all the articles they write for you this month. You could also have them be your partner on a specific web site. As long as they are writing for you the commissions the site makes will be split. If they stop writing they stop getting paid.

My question is a little similar, but not so much motivation as where to start, what types of things go in to an article, how long, do you promote or just write on the subject etc. Any advice?

      Hi Sylvestor,

Regarding the question, "How long do you promote or just write on the subject?" After researching the topic then doing my keyword research I usually write 10 articles. This is enough of a test to tell me if I can get traffic to the offer and if the product's sales letter will convert those prospects into buyers.

It seems that you have quite a few questions about getting started in article marketing. Take a look at my sig file below. All of your questions can be answered there.
