Like RoboForm, But Free!

Check out LastPass - Password Manager, Form Filler, Password Management

FYI, there is a $12 premium option to do even more than RoboForm

I think I will just stick with Roboform. I'm not going to trust just anyone with all my logins and passwords. It is well worth 30 dollars for Roboform to be sure it is all protected as best as possible.

I don't have any affiliation with this site, but you may want to read the reviews form PCmag, PCworld & ZDnet ... all respected sources.

From Zdnet, "Last year, when I put together a list of my 10 favorite Windows programs of all time, one of the superstars on that list was RoboForm. Since then, I’ve found a replacement that does everything RoboForm can do and more—and it’s completely free."

I like LastPass and have used it for a couple years now. I actually like it better than RoboForm because I can use it on any computer. Plus it is easier to sort and group log in information in the database.

Joel, sorry I was NOT trying to suggest you were affiliated with it in anyway - and thanks for passing on resources you find useful. I was just pointing out that for me it is ALL about the protection and not the features. Roboform does exactly what it says out of the box and no extra fancy features are needed by me.

Yes, you are right! Same thing here. I will also not like anyone to keep my personal info. saved in its files.

it's not as secure since it's online based, but a lot more convenient if you are using different PCs on a regular basis

lol, I don't even trust my upper level secure logins to RoboForm... and I love the program. Also took me 2yrs of watching it mature before I would trust it enough to buy it.

Hackers can only hack what they can see and when you show them something as enticing as a set of passwords; (meaning publicized password database software); its like you're taunting them to figure it out. So that database had better be employing the latest security measures, building on them and keeping them up to date... Syber Systems has been doing this for the past couple years now.

Anyway... not wanting this to turn into a rant. Just be careful with what you trust your mission critical data with. Complacency is the dagger hackers use to stab you in the heart.

I have gotten over the problem by using no password managers at all.....

Yeah, I did that for a while and it worked for me, (keeping them all in my head), 'cause I had a level system. I still employ it for the stuff I won't trust even in RoboForm.

But then I started branching out more and using more third-party solutions and not just my own stuff. As intelligent as I think I am, (), it got to be too much.

To be honest online based is just as safe as offline, because the root password all they store is a hash. ROboform has an online option as well.

I have licenses for 2 PCs using Roboform, but I currently run Lastpass on 10 desktops which all sync, or I can push login details out to people who need access to certain sites.

I have had PCs stolen, so data stored only on one of my PCs doesn't make it any safer even if encrypted.

The reason I like Lastpass is they tend to handle 1shoppingcart and multiple login via a single form a little better by default.

I once used KeePass - it's good but it's browser integration sucks.

I now use Roboform, I paid for it, I'll never go back.

I never have to "Log In" to the Warrior Forum - my bookmark link does that for me.

    The main benefits are:

    1. Check a number of affiliate sites very quickly to check earnings
    2. Keep all your passwords as random generated and unique
    3. Organise your important sites
    4. Synchronise between different computers and iPhone

LastPass is nice but I don't trust it with bank info, etc. Use the free Password Safe for that.

For paid solutions, Roboform is still the best. However, because it's free
lastpass is the next best thing.
