Your Experience with Blog Advertising - Banners & Paid Reviews?

Anyone here tried advertising by placing banner on blogs? Getting a paid review?

Was it worth it?

I'm looking into the idea of a paid review for my IM product (banners didn't work for me, btw)

    I use payperpost. It did increase my PR and I got a lot of traffic for approx $200 and many links are still up.

    Please remember that many people consider making money to be "dirty" and do not like to hear you pay for reviews. Trust me on this most big time pro bloggers are too busy to review your web pages.

    Most of my reviews came from mommy bloggers with low PR blogs that had many pictures of their infant son.
