quick question as I a bit confussed

Hi I am trying to understand the cpc on google adwords.

I have entered my keyword and it comes back saying

estimated average cpc $3 - $4. Estimated add position 1- 3

From that point of view is my keyword a good one to have adsense on my page.

I just can't get my head around it.

Thanks

That seems like a good keyword for adsense. You probably won't make that much since it will be on the "content network". You want to target keywords with a high search CPC for adsense because you get paid more per click on your website (obviously).

Yes, if the keyword is an expensive one, it is likely a good one to incorporate into your articles.

Adsense picks up on the content on your site. If your content is talking about widgets, your ads that show will be about widgets. If widgets are an expensive word to bid on for the advertiser, they will be a lucrative word for the person who has the adsense ads on their site.

Google takes their cut of course.

For adsense, you wanna target keyword with CPC higher than $2. The higher the better! For example, if you were targeting an expensive KW which has Avg CPC of $25, you could expect to get around $2-$3 a click, which is awesome!
