This is mostly towards new IM, but please feel free to chime in.

How many of you feel there is just way to much information out there about what you need to do to become a successful IM?

    There's a lot of marketing information out there, for sure.

    But there's not enough real *business building* information. Everything is geared toward techniques, tactics, tricks and tools. But what most aspiring internet marketers miss is business fundamentals.

    How to setup and run a business, managing budgets, handling customer support, order fulfillment... etcetera.

      There is a lot of good info out there, but it is buried under tons and tons of people trying to spin that info and make money off of it.

      Now trying to make money teaching others how to make money is fine, but it has gotten to the point where someone new would likely be scared off thinking that it would be IMPOSSIBLE to make money in IM unless they invested in a course, WSO, mentoring, etc.

      I studied nothing but the free section of this site for 2 weeks. I ignored the posts that were trying to sell stuff in a backhand way. I ignored the stuff that didn't seem "right" to me (such as article spinning). I ignored the stuff that told me that it was "so damn easy to make 100k a month!!!!"

      I used common sense and plain old skepticism to filter out the good from the bad, then I got to WORK. Website 1 is up and running and has generated 9 sales now, enough to get me into the next Amazon commission tier. Website 2 has been registered and hosted and I am filling it up with content now and paying attention to everything I learned from Website 1.

      So yes, there is good info out there, you just have to shovel your way through several tons of junk to get to it.
