Any GOOD New Training Out There?

I'm always trying to learn new Internet Marketing tricks, and I don't mind paying for the information. But it seems like, lately, all of the stuff I buy is complete Crap!

I have gotten 3 refunds in the last 2 months, but it's not so much the money that bothers me. It's the time I waste having to sort thru 30 pages of material before I realize they are just stating the same old obvious, stale techniques.

Is there anything new on the market that's worth spending $77 and a couple hours of my life on?

Thanks!

I know how you feel. I'm getting really frustrated. I heard of yet another one by email... seems like that's all I get in my inbox nowadays. "Zero Down Traffic Blueprint" promoted by Sean Donahoe and some guy named Oli T. Just wondering, anyone know these people? I searched Sean Donahoe on the forums and he's here but what about this Oli T.? What's his reputation like? I'm getting really wary of all these wonderful super courses.

I don't think he or I can PM... don't you need 50 posts to do that? Besides, if it's such great info, why not just post it here or in the private forum?

How have you used the information you now know to make you money?

If it's all rehashed stuff, then you must know it and are making good money from it. Rather than complaining, give some value back about how you are making money from this info that you already know and are using. I'm interested.

Some marketing advice - when someone says "hey I like to buy X", your job as a marketer is to help him find some X to buy and get a slice. Not to say "stop complaining and enjoy the X you already have!"

Just saying. Marketing 101. Think about it.

Thanks for your marketing advice. I'm not here on the Warrior Forum to market to my fellow marketers, but to help them. I'm tired of seeing people on here complain about products and services without ever taking any action towards what simply works.

I was asking him a simple question about what actions he has taken to see where he is in his IM journey. He seems to know that what he's buying has been stated before and therefore it obviously works or did work. If he is stuck somewhere, then I just wanted to know so I could help him out. I'm not here to sell anyone anything. I make enough off of people in the wider world of the internet, therefore I don't need to market here on the WF.

He never said nothing works, or that he was unsuccessful, he just said he wished there were better products about marketing that were worth buying. It seemed like the kind of complaint that to a marketer, would present a product opportunity. Also, selling someone something and helping them are not automatically opposites, you know. Can't you do both?

And if complainers bother you so much, how is complaining about THEM any different? Is the complaint more valid because it came from you?

It sounded way more like a "well if YOU'RE so SMART!" kind of thing - I assumed that since you asked him to contribute before simply asking for shopping advice. If I was wrong I apologize.

Hey, I feel you as far as having newbies come in and ask for free information or whine about how nothing they buy and buy and buy works. I laced into a guy earlier today about it.

But that's not even what this guy was asking - I think you jumped the gun on being mad. I totally agree with the OP. Way too many cruddy products. We as GOOD marketers who DO know how to market SHOULD get into the "selling products to marketers" biz.

Because like you said, we can actually HELP people. Why leave the sales in this niche to all the jerks who keep making re-hashed crap?

But that's awesome how you do well in other niches. Congrats. But I ask, why not one more, if YOU have something to contribute. I'm interested.

I can't speak for burnsai but I'm not looking for new techniques... I'm just looking for something that actually works and isn't re-hashed stuff for me to waste more money on. And, I can complain because I haven't made anything from this little adventure but I've bought a few of these e-books written by so-called experts that email promotion after promotion after promotion. Makes me wonder... just how many people sign up for those things?

What have you actually done and hasn't worked?

How can I help you? What do you want to do? What are your goals?

Don't be vague about your goals. Tell me what you want to make, when, and how you plan on doing it. Then you know who and what can help you get there.

This was my first attempt: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...t-attempt.html . The product was a complete failure. It's been almost 4 weeks and their 7-day EPC is non-existent. I even emailed the contact person and she said in the most seasoned & practiced corporate rah rah that they had very few people actually signing up - most of the affiliates bring people over to them but that's where things get lost.

Ok, lesson-learned and so I chose a different product that has a proven track record and not only that, I researched the company and checked out their landing pages and everything. I followed the same method - wash, rinse, and dry. Split testing with different landing pages and different ads. Each time I change it, things improve. Only problem is, once the individual reaches them, poof. That's it. No purchase.

So far, each test has cost me $150 each. I'm unemployed with no EI. I can't spend $150 on tests - not for much longer, anyway.

Fine, so test #3 - free traffic and selling a WSO in the weight-loss & fitness sector. The first two tests were for business-resources. Surely, this is different from the first two, right? I'm just about finished writing the WSO. I've got a game plan to promote it with the help of a few WSO from WF. I have the blog setup and all I really have left to do is to populate my blog with a whack load of helpful articles. Will it work? I have no idea but I'm not optimistic.

All I want is to make $100 in 7 days. That's about $15 a day. With all the rave reviews on IM ($10,000 in 2 weeks! $500,000 in 3 months!), $100 in 7 days doesn't seem unreasonable at all.

I guess I should clarify my question a bit.

First, I don't consider myself an internet newbie anymore. I have been doing this stuff for about 1.5 years, and in the last 6 months it has finally begun to pay off. I just quit my day job and will be moving from Pasadena, CA to SE Asia in 2 weeks to live "The Internet Nomad Lifestyle"

As for what I'm looking for in a product. Well, it's hard to say, I do mostly affiliate marketing using organic search traffic.

Here are some of the products I've bought lately:

              THE GOOD

In the past 6 months I have bought a couple of Auto Blogging courses which I thought were pretty good - I think they were called "Auto Blogging Blueprint" and "Auto Content Cash". What I liked about them was that they were specific. Auto Blogging Blueprint had a list of plugins and configurations - it told me exactly how to set up a blog, using his method, which was WAYYYY better than the methods I had been using in the past, so it was well worth the price just because of the new WP plugins it introduced me to.

Unfortunately, I can not say if auto-blogging is lucrative as I ended up purchasing 'The Mage" (which is the Cadillac of auto blogging software) and The Mage requires an EPN account to really make any real money - and Ebay turned down my application.

Also, someone mentioned Sean Donahoe - I actually like the guy, his list is one of the few that I didn't unsubscribe from several days ago in my big Internet Scumbag Purge. About 6-7 months ago I bought one of his systems called Backlink Booster - it worked great until Ping.fm changed the way they do things. But this system is a perfect example of a simple technique that I did not know about, and once I learned it, it really helped give my Rankings a boost.

I also liked Chris Remple's "Lazy Super Affiliate" - It was short and to the point with no fluff, just good information that saved me a bunch of time and research. I haven't read it for a while and I'm not sure if the techniques would work as well as they did a year ago - so please don't buy it on my recommendation.

              THE BAD

The last thing I bought (I can't even remember the name) stated that you could make $6,145.32 (or something like that) a day from a secret revolutionary technique, blah, blah, blah.... And the big secret was to build blogs and then sell text links thru text link brokers.

So, let me get this straight - text link brokers are gonna pay me 6k a day for links on a blog that gets about 20 hits a day (if I'm lucky). Come On!

Another one that kinda pissed me off was something by a kid named Phillip Mansour - which said he would reveal his Secret Sources for Cheap paid traffic, yada, yada... In fairness to Philip, he did reveal his sources, but the information was worthy of a blog post, not a $77.00 training system.

There was no proprietary information, or "This is how I get the most out of the system" It was all information you could have gotten by going to the pay per click sites he listed in his videos.

Now, maybe this little Tyke knows his stuff, and maybe he did just buy some huge mansion, and some really fancy sports car but the whole thing just felt like it was a big lead in for an up-sell. I can't remember if there was an up-sell, but I'd bet a months earnings that there was!

              THE UGLY

I think the main problem might be that, a year ago an Internet Marketer would have a great system they had been using for a while, and then they would think to themselves "Hey, why not share this great system - and make a couple bucks in the process" They would release the information, usually in the form of a short and ugly ebook with great ACTIONABLE information.

But now, Internet Marketers just sit around scheming about what they can sell - they come up with a Snazzy Title and then they make up a "System" that fits with the title. This is alot like how Roger Corman use to make his slocky B-Movies. He would get a poster made, then have someone write a script based on the elements in the poster. Anyone who is a fan of Roger Corman films can tell you that... well the movies never really came out all that great.

Okay, well that's a pretty good ramble. Now I have to go start packing.

That would be me. I decided not to buy the program from the guy he was promoting. But you gave me a great idea. Maybe I *should* do a bit of email list purging of my own.

Yes, that makes sense. I know one person who actually made it and confirmed it for myself. 6 months ago, his original e-book was chock full of real tips and how-to's. He released another e-book and took off the old one. The new one leads to a special course and another book and had almost nothing useful compared to version 1.

Why are you looking for new TRICKS to game the system? Why not concentrate on the stuff taht you know, or that you have read, that has been working for so many? New TRICKS are only going to work until they catch on to them. Then those new tricks you have learned and have built your bueinss on will leave you flat.

At least that is my thinking. Take it or leave it.

I personally enjoyed Nanobloggers and the 2010 edition of the Multiplier Method quite a bit. They were not revolutionary but I got some good take aways from them...

    Much love, prosperity & Health.

Does it have to be $77? There's a certain $1997 product coming out next week that might interest you (one which I would feel proud to recommend).

And also, what exactly do you do? It's hard to recommend stuff for your business if I don't know what it is.

$2,000? Let me guess, for the first 150 people who sign up, it will only cost them $500. No, $499. Pardon my sarcasm but you can hardly blame me for saying that.
