I lost count after 30 because I can't count any higher ..lol

Too many sites and too many domain names.. By the way I am not an internet marketer, atleast I dont call myself one. I am a website developer.

1000's of clients sites only a few hosted on my servers .. All my sites are hosted on 2 dedicated servers..

Probably about 40-50 domains, but some of the sites need major updating. Probably 20 realistically.

Hi Kym,
Well not all sites require constant changes, watching, and etc... For example I have a graphics pack I created.

WebsiteSplash.com - Which is actually redirected to my server, I could set it up on it's own account but I was too lazy.. Now I actually have 3 products there in one with that so not wanting someone else to make money off my back I went and registered all the names.

optinsplash.com & .net
templatesplash.com & .net
graphicssplash.com & .net

Now yes I spent $74.00 on the domain names, no big deal.. My product is protected now and for possible future releases or other uses of the domain names.

I ran a wso and made 4+ times that money back (not going to say exact figure) So was it worth it to register those names and protect the product ? Well ofcourse it was.. I am happy with the results, would be happier if I sold 20+ but anyways that's not my point...

Point is I consider this one website with 8 domain names attached to it.. But still it is one website that does not require my attention.

None of the above is self promotion so to those thinking about hitting that small button don't be so rude.. I was explaining something the best way I know how .. Besides this is great information for newbies ...

Always protect your product when possible.. especially if you think it will sell great...

Most probably have only 1-3 pages and their sole purpose is to pimp products. There are black hatters out there who probably have hundreds of thousands of web sites.

I've got one and I'm rather busy with it, trying to improve the content of the newsletter and the design of the blog itself etc. Well actually I got 2 domains but one is just sitting there and holding files for me.

I run about 40 or so now, but most are fully automated and don't require a lot of looking after.

I think automation is the key, now if you start getting into forums or directories...

Those will consume most of your time eventually.

excluding a few posts from those with 100 + websites it appears the average is around 15 - 20 websites per person!

Right now I own a list of 10 or 12 lol!

I have only a few that are making money and getting traffic!

I have 5 blogs and 40 mini-sites that feed off the blogs. None are in the "making money" niche. They all are bringing in a steady stream of income, some more than others, with 4 making a lot more. I also have 20 additonal domains that should be up and running by June 2009. It took 2 years of hard work and a lot of study. I'm happy.

I would like to add that most of my education came from this forum. I hung out here for about a year before ever signing up, afraid of sounding stupid if I asked a question. I'm now well on my way to a Phd.

What a coincidence, 40 is mentioned in many posts...and last time i counted my domains it was about 40.

Only about 12 are developed and hosted at two different hosting accounts..

I have about 15 websites and blogs on a reseller account. My main article directory with the same host on another account - that was the first account and I would hate to move it. 5 websites with my business partner on another reseller account with a different host and one website with yet another host which will be moved to our reseller account soon. All shared hosting but my business partner and I plan dedicated hosting in the future.
