Building a List with Live Webinars

I would like to start building my list by doing Live Webinars.

It seems like a great way to not only build a list of trusted prospects and buyers, but also a good way to build relationships with JV partners.

I came across this (that might be useful to others):
How Can I Get Others To Promote My Webinar | Webinar Crusher

Here are my questions:

Let's say I contact a JV partner who has a product. He says he has all the slides to give good free content and then eventually go into the pitch for his product. I would maybe only do 5 to 10% of the talking.

We would both mail to our lists (of equal size).

We both share 50% commission on the sales generated.

And he would build his buyers list (since the sales would be going through his site).

Would it be a fair trade to have me take all of the prospect leads (those that signed up for the Live webinar)?

Would most JV partners be cool with this? I'd appreciate your feedback guys and any other suggestions that you have for doing successful live webinars (where EVERYONE leaves happy).

Normally, if you're the affiliate, then you're the only one promoting the webinar.

And the speaker sucks the heck out of your list.

BUT they can be extremely profitable.

    They're hit or miss.

This is correct. You do not normally build your list through webinars, it's rather the other way around, i.e., you push webinars to your list when you want to promote products.
