Questions about Niches

On my ClickBank account i promote many different niches and i wanted to get your guys/gals opinions on whether or not it is better to just focus on on niche and put all my energy into just one niche too see more profits?

Thanks for your advice.

I think this would depend person to person. If you have lots of time than I don't see why you couldn't run a few products aggressively. But if you've built a strong audience and time is an issue, perhaps it would be a good idea to devote your efforts into only 1.

You can try different niches...the only thing you should consider that every time you decide to promote a new niche you should build a squeeze page to build your list of subscribers for that niche..

Are you building lists? If so, great! If not - start now (yesterday). Then you can promote similar and related products to those who have already purchased from you.

    Make sense?

I am but i am not sure what to do with them once i build them, i mean i can only sell so much of the same product to my list.

Won't they get tired of hearing about the same offers? How many different example:dog products can i sell to them on ClickBank?

Most products will lend themselves to others...dog food, raw diet, store bought, people food for dogs, poisonous plants, toxic foods, dog health, elderly dogs, puppies, bringing another dog into the family, potty training, resource guarding, toys, stuffed toys, latex toys, where to buy discount meds, discount toys, vaccinations, sugeries...I could go on...

Perhaps one thing you might consider is looking for additional products outside of clickbank....such as commission junction, e-junkie, associateprograms.com etc.

I don't know if there's a right or wrong way.
If you're a newbie, concentrating on one niche and not getting good results could prove to be a waste.
By trying different niches you could stumble upon one great niche and then you could focus more attention to it.

But, at the same time, focusing on to many niches could take a lot of effort and you may not give it as much effort as needed.

I don't know if anyone has a great answer to your question. If yes, I would like to know it as well.

Build a website or blog in a niche you are interested in or already know something about. This way it will be easier to fill it with quality information.

When you have a steady flow of visitors, offer some quality freebies to get them on your list. Send them quality information and updates about your website and start introducing them to products on clickbank you think will be of use to them. You will decide this by buying the clickbank product first, and testing it before you reccommend it. Build you list and then find out about swaps and JV's but remember nothing is more valuable and profitable as your reputation, so be careful.

As it gets easier to run and keep updated, (and it does) repeat the whole thing again in another niche you personally enjoy. Put helping people before worrying about making money out of them and things will tend to take care of themselves.

    best wishes

I understand what you are saying John and i agree with helping people first then the money will come later, but i don't have the money to buy every ClickBank product i want to promote.

Also i think you should promote a niche that makes money. I don't think you necessarily have to be passionate about it.

I promote a pregnancy product and a yeast infection product am i really passionate about these? No, but i have made money out of them and that is what is important. You can always outsource your writing.

      Thanks for your reply John.

Do not judge your day by how much you harvest but by how much you sow

There will come a point when you will look back at all those niches you dabbled in and have to say "well, at least it was experience". Of course, you could just chase the money, but I would advise you to start as you mean to go on and build a business and a reputation. Plan for the long term, where you will be 5,10,15 years from now.

How many people do you know that earn a lot of money but are dissatisfied. Build your websites about things you know and enjoy, it will be putting you in touch with not just customers but people that share your interests. It is much easier to sell too people that are friends, it will come through in all your copywriting and marketing.

It you are not passionate about what you are doing? why are you doing it?

As for Clickbank products, how are you reviewing the products you recommend? by just reading the sales copy? If you really cannot afford to buy them, contact the product seller and ask for a review copy. Explain you circumstances and how you are going to promote their product. They can only say no, or give you a free copy. You have nothing to loose. This will also give you an insight into the person behind the product.

Everytime you recommend a product you are putting your reputation on the line with your customers. It is one of your most valuable marketing tools, once you loose it, it almost impossible to restore

    best wishes

Adamcm is right on his point. It depends on the person and how much time you have to spend every day with marketing. If you have the time, and the diligence, perhaps you could promote two different niches. I know it's been done, and I know that many people are doing it, but that is their day job, mostly. Although there are some young people, who are in school, who are promoting many different affiliate products, as well.

Choose a niche from which you can create sub-niches or related niches. If you like cars, for example, you can create sites about new-car deals, another about how to buy a used car, or car insurance, or car warranties, or luxury cars, or sports cars, or car maintenance.

Once you have multiple related sites, you can begin cross-linking them. The sites that become most popular can contain links to any new sites you build, getting them off to a good start.

I've been using this technique for years and it works very well.
