Automated Social Media Posting...

Hey All!

A while back I was told about a service called Tweet Deck that posted on Facebook and Twitter and had a number of tools that allowed you to schedule posts ahead of time, etc.

Is Tweet Deck still the application to look into or has something else come along that's better? I'm not looking to "spam" or anything, just get some leverage and automation with my social media posting.

Thanks!

Adam

I still use Tweet Deck, although I know there must be some web-based alternatives. However that kind of services always end up making your account be flagged for spamming.

The problem is trigger as spam. It's a bad effect for over web site. So I prefer you to do manual works.

Lot of people use Hootsuite for running multiple accounts (within Twitter ToS) - there are lots of similar corporate systems.

You will probably find Seesmic useful, as it can post to many Micro Blogging applications

There is a report going to be released called the "Social Domination Report" that will be released soon and it will most definitely help with these type of issues. It will show you how the Advanced Marketer's use Twitter,Facebook, Youtube secrets(not outdated methods) and shows you how to use LinkedIn as well to get your profile to the top of LinkedIn for your targeted keyword. It is really a great ebook. And delivery is simply do this do that NO Fluff type of directions. Hope this helps

I don't know if you blog also, but I do, and I've been using Socialite plugin along with Twitter Tools so I can actually automatically distribute links to my new content via twitter and facebook, but also I can post directly to either FROM the blog without having to go to each individual site.

It works for me - Tweetdeck probably has a lot more friend/follower management and tracking features if that's your thing - if you're just looking to distro content, and you do have a blog, that might work for you.

Fair warning: It's possible I'm arguing with you because I have nothing better to do.

Colin, I do have a Wordpress blog. I'll definitely check out the plugin.

      Thanks!

Tweet Deck's indespensible as a Twitter tool. Most people pay to automate their tweets, but I hear evertweet offer some kind of free alternative.

One warning, with Tweet Deck, don't mass retweet too quickly. It's very easy to spin out an RT every few seconds, which says a lot about how well designed it is, but nevertheless, RT sparingly, or a lot of people will unfollow you.
