Traffic Tanked After Changing Servers

I have a weird situation. I changed my servers recently, and it seems that a network of sites I have tanked in Google right at the time of the change. However, some other sites stayed the same.

The change was right around the beginning of June, so I'm wondering if there was some major change in Google's algo at that time.

Or could there be any other reason why a change in servers would lead Google to treat the sites any differently? (All the urls are the same, and everything seems to be otherwise fine.)

It's likely just coincidence. Google Caffeine finished it's complete launch early June, and from what I've read, tons of sites got hit by it.

It is exactly what Elle has said, Google Caffeine...now like everyone you have to change your entire IM strategy, sadly!

    Unlikely... but also worth checking

IP Ban tables on new servers - I sometimes get locked out of my own server
    Maybe some robots.txt changes

All kinds of things fluctuate on sites, and it is possible something changed well before the move.

Yea google caffeine may have played a role in it but you can never really tell these days.

    Thanks for the replies.

I have another situation that may or may not be related if it is, in fact, some type of technical issue. I have a Virtual Assistant working for me from the Philippines. On some days he says he can't log into one of the sites. When he tries a proxy, however, he's able to get in.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

That is either IPTables/other firewall or caused by plugins such as bad behavior.

Every time it happens to me I just reset my ADSL router and get a different IP or contact my hosting providers as I pay a lot for good support, so I might as well use it.
