ads on your web site

I'm curious, does anybody here have a web site where they just post content (and not necessarily pimp any products personally) along with ads with affiliate links in them? If you do, what kind of ads do you use (text, image, etc.)? Any particular layout elements that work out well?

    It's ok I'll respond. What I usually do is put a text link about 3 times throughout my content. Suppose it's a blog about weight loss diet, I would put a link to an affiliate product with the anchor text of something like "click here to find out how I lost 8lb in 1 week" a few lines down. Then another with slight different wording about half way through the blog and then one at the end. It works well.

    It would depend on the niche and site design but most of the time I'm using 125x125, 300x250 and 468x60 images.
