When Patience is Your Enemy

I've never been a particularly patient person. I come by it honestly though, because my mother is probably one of the most impatient people on the face of the planet. Being impatient, of course, poses a big threat to my internet marketing success, as it does to a lot of people, especially when they're first starting out.

Impatience is probably one of the largest thwarters of internet income success. It kills a newbie's dream every day. Probably more than one a day, as they start giving up because they haven't given a system enough time to work, or they don't realize that it sometimes takes a while to rank a website and start getting good traffic, or the various other reasons.

I have a system that I've been making consistent money with. I know that it works and I just need to scale things. I feel almost horrible about it though, for all of those people that don't make any money at all. At first I was impatient to make my first sale which almost led to me wanting to give up. Now that I make money every day, I'm impatient for it to grow into a more substantial amount. I know that it takes time for things to grow, especially when you purchase your domains brand new with no prexisting backlinks. This is a business, after all, and Rome wasn't built in a day.

To the more experienced Warriors out there. What do you do when you start feeling impatient? What form does your chill pill take?

I was thinking about taking a day or two off to calm myself and refocus. I tend to work too much and burn myself into the ground. Needless to say, impatience leads to stress, which most of us experience in this line of work, at some point or another. So, how do you cope?

Bourbon. Just kidding! I like to remember the times I was not patient and the result it brought compared to the times I was patient and contrast them. I think you already are on the right track because you are seeing consistent results. Think of all the people who crash and burn only because they gave up too early. Scale it up and focus on the success you are already seeing. You are already there!

    Best Wishes!!!!

I was thinking Vodka would be the answer. This weekend has been so damn sh*tty though, that didn't even work. I need a weekend from my weekend.

          Okay, split the difference: gin.

My action pill would be to chill and see the environment outside after 2 hours of staring at my Mac... breathe some fresh air, make several stretches and eat out.

It's not just working too much that burns people out it's what else they do to prop themselves up while they work like having too much caffeine and living on junk food.

You have to take of yourself first. Plan your day. Take frequent breaks to avoid burnout.

With my nutritionist's hat on I say eat healthily, avoid drinking loads of tea, coffee and fizzy drinks. Drink plenty of pure water and fresh juices or healthy smoothies instead. Green tea is good too.

Fit in some exercise and make sure you get some decent sleep.
Doing some deep breathing or relaxation exercises to a CD can help calm your mind.

Good luck with increasing your income soon.

I'm sure that's part of the problem. Coincidentally, I just decided to start cooking again so over the weekend I went out and bought a bunch of healthy cookbooks.

Good planning will help you. On morning, write down some work you need to do on morning, afternoon, and even night if you want to. Numbering the priority, and follow the list exactly sequence, do not jump to other works. I am not patience some time, and this way make me back to work effective. Some sharing.
