Protect online courses we sell

We need a service or software that can take the flv/mp4 courses we create for a client that can protect the stream after purchase via 1shopping cart.

I was thinking like something that creates a small player exe file that pings the specific video location on our server and only allows a set number of installs. Then that way our 1shopping cart digital download security will protect the download link.

There has to be something out there that isnt crazy in price.

    I don't know how you're delivering it, but there is a wordpress plugin you can use with amazon S3 that essentially makes expiring session URLs issued upon login. So your user logs in, and all the S3 Urls are generated for that session, they can watch whatever, but after a given time, they expire and will require a new login to create new connections.

    I don't know if that's what you're looking for, but it's what I have experience with. I know you can use 1SC to connect to a paid Wordpress access scenario. So it could work with what you're trying to do.

    But caveat emptor, I've only experienced this from the user side, not the vendor side. I know it's possible, but hopefully some more experienced membership people can chime in. In the meantime, I'll see if I can find a link to the plugin I mentioned.

    I was most definitely going to say Amazon S3 also. Use Amazon S3 to host all the videos, maybe in a members area or something, and then use a plugin like Secure Amazon S3 Video Streaming for WordPress - S3FlowShield to protect all the download links to the videos.
