What step to take next? Website complete..

My website and affiliate program is complete. I won't have money for Adwords for another 2 weeks.

What should I do next? I posted a thread in JV forum looking for affiliates, I don't think that is going too well.

I know you guys give this kind of advice all the time, but since I'm actually here and really doing it, my mind goes blank!

The website is Mw2 Mvp if you guys wanna throw some opinions.. (I'm hearing that my video looks bad on every browser but Firefox)

I guess I'm just trying to drive traffic?

I also posted some links on some Call of Duty forums (The game in which my guides are based off of)

Idk, you guys know how I'm feeling, you all have been here..

Hmm I took a different approach..

I looked keywords like "tips", "walkthroughs", "gameplay", "tricks", "secrets", etc.

    A lot of searches

Is that a gaming guide or something?

I think you really need a good salesletter. Otherwise you won't be able to sell anything. Not sure about the traffic searches but assuming u can get the traffic, they won't understand what your website is about (user interface is quite confusing there).

The faint white text on black background is nearly unreadable, so I didn't even attempt to discern its meaning.

I'm not sure how to change that, the text itself is a different color within the post.

    I don't get it..

There are no searches for Farmville and this guys making a killing:

Farmville Secrets | Farmville Strategy | Farmville Guide

And it's just a book.. I have HD videos in which I made very good...

I'm starting to think it's all about how many affiliates you got... because if your website is anywhere and everywhere, I guess you will make tons of sales..

Well before you start thinking too much, have a look at the difference in that site compared to yours. It is purely and simply a sales page. The visitor is presented with an easy to ready sales letter that's black text on white background. Now while it may not look as "cool" as your site, it is obviously doing it's intended purpose (if the guy is really making a killing).
There are only 2 things the visitor can do. Either buy or leave the page.
Your site on the other hand is confusing and hard to read. There are too many distractions. When I hit the button that says "click to buy" it takes me to another page that asks me if I want to view the best Mw2 guides on the net. Well If I hit "click to buy" I would expect to be taken to a checkout or paypal page. So I scroll down and hit the "click to buy" again and it just refreshes the same page. Oh well I'm outta there!
My advice, before you start looking for affiliates, would be to make the site just a sales page instead of a blog. Get rid of anything that is not leading the visitor to the buy button. Also get rid of any links going to other sites unless they are another site you own that only has one purpose. (to sell).

What other ways could I deliver the videos? I don't want to give them a download file because that would be too huge..

That was my main goal with the Wordpress/Membership site.

Not saying you shouldn't use the WP site for membership. Just saying that the sales page should be just that and nothing else. As someone mentioned put the membership site on a sub domain like members.mw2mvp.com. Once they sign up they will get to that area (so you will have to password protect it). You can still use WP to make your sales page. There are a few plugins out there that make the job easy.

If you're looking for affiliates, try selling through clickbank. You get instant affiliates. To deliver your videos, you could try disc mojo.

    Hope that helps.

The site is confusing and there's no clear sales message.

If you're trying to launch a membership site, try putting the sales page on its own site, using a better (more targeted) domain name, then direct subscribers to the membership site.

I agree that you need a simple sales page with a catchy headline and a good, solid promise that leads the reader into the body of the sales letter.

The blog should be a side to the salespage. You can use your blog to bring in traffic, but put it on a subdomain and use your home page as the sales page. Clickbank is my recommend for getting affiliates. I have used them before and if you make some great hop ads it really helps boost your affiliates and sales fairly quickly.
I agree that the page is too busy.

Who is your ideal customer? Not just 'gamers'. Be really specific. Where do they hang out? Who already has a list of gaming fans who might be interested in your course?

If you answer these questions, then driving traffic shouldn't be a problem. You just go to the people who already have traffic, show them how they can earn money from the deal (put the product on Clickbank where they can be affiliates) and then get them to send out to their list. Traffic is the life blood of web businesses and you need to have lots of it to earn good money.

However, before you start driving traffic, the very next step needs to focus on this: You need to make it very clear what you want people to do when they reach your site. The video's not bad but it doesn't tell me how cool I'm going to feel when I can play like you. Similarly, the site won't sell in its current form because you're not showing the value of what you have in a clear sales format.

Look at some of the best copywriters (the late Gary Halbert springs to mind) and see how they sell. Get into your ideal customers head when they reach the page and show them all the cool stuff they can get if they just click 'Add to Cart'.

      Hope that helps.

PM me if you'd like any help.

      Matt
