Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 Easter Egg Hunt
I recently began working with M80 (a social media marketing firm) to help Microsoft promote Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 via the interactive, non-Microsoft branded microsite allurebays.com. Immediately you'll realize that this is not your everyday campaign and I want to get your opinion of it. Is it too over-the-top? amusing?
Wondering what the heck it is? allow me to dissect it a little- The site showcases the "capabilities" of Allure Bays Corp (ABC) and thus the power of Microsoft's new products through a number of quirky videos and company news stories. To further entertain visitors and celebrate their rich history, Microsoft included easter eggs for those willing to explore. We've placed some of the videos on YouTube (youtube.com/allurebays) for easy distribution however all of the easter eggs are found on the site. We also added a Twitter feed (@AllureBays) that provides some clues regarding the easter eggs.
