WordPress display different content to mobile users

I'm using WordPress for a site. The main page of the site has a flash-based slideshow. Of course, this doesn't show up on the iPhone, as well as many other mobile devices. I'm curious if there's a way to display a static image to mobile users.

What I don't want is a mobile theme pack for the site. I like the way it displays in the browser otherwise.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

You can use a screendoor script to send mobile users to an alternate home page.

I generally use WPtouch iPhone plugin. It is a great solution with lots of configfurability. Just search for it from the "Install Plugins" area.
