I know that a lot of squeeze pages use a free ebook to lure you to give your email but i was wondering what other options there are as the page will be before purchase of an ebook.

If the squeeze page is given before you get to a product will the majority of people just give their emails to get to the product?

Is the reward of a list much greater then the loss in sales you may get from including a squeeze page you have to go through to purchase?

Thank you

You should definitely try and use a squeeze page so you can build a list and market other products to them in the future. If you are going to all the trouble of sending traffic to your site you want to make the most of that traffic.

If I were you, I wouldn't even mention the ebook you are selling. Send people to a squeeze page where you giveaway a free report or video with the best 1 or 2 tips from your ebook, give them a few more tips over the next few days, then when the time is right, let them know about your ebook. If the free content you give them is valuable stuff they will be a lot more likely to want to get their hands on any other information you have.

Maybe you can model on a certain part of Amazon's style in selling books....provide a sample maybe not more than 15 pages of the book for free, or excerpts of the book, that they have to subscribe to download.

You can also have your visitors download the first ebook for free after subscribing and present them with a 3 (figure for example only) ebook bundle on related topics as an upsell OTO...

I understand the long term give them snippets at a time, but if the product were say a WSO, wanting to build a list and also sell the product.

I have joined lists for WSO's and some give ebooks but a lot of them are just PLR and useless and just take up room.

If people are at the squeeze page in this case they will generally be there with the intent to buy, is it worth including extras to try convince?

And does the same apply if the product were on clickbank, surely on clickbank you need a proffessional squeeze page and lures?

    Thank you,

      I have used:
      • P.L.R. Material (See My Sig Link)
      • A weekly information service (I automated this using a PHP script that scraped information from other sources)
      • eBook - original report
      • eBook - rewritten report from content on the web

      You could also try:

      • Free software (pay $100-$200 to get a small useful app or script developed - e.g. an SEO competition or keyword app would be useful)
      • Competition (winner gets your full product for example)
      • Membership Site / Access to Forum
      • A useful (non-salesy) autoresponder Series e.g. 7 great tips, one per week
