What Do You Really Want To Do?

Often, MLM types or rah rah seminars for folks in sales, always ask you what lifestyle you dream of, to put you in a dream fired-up frame of mind before tackling the nitty gritty of how to get there.

What lifestyle are you aiming to achieve?

Before getting into internet marketing I was writing and reading screenplays and producing films (all of which were total crap, I'm afraid). Writing is a pretty isolated endeavor much of the time. So is Internet marketing. That is why doing internet marketing for offline businesses is good for me. It's a great venue to interact with people and see various human niches and needs being met, so I see real life and not just stuff I imagine. I do believe that what goes in, goes out. At some point I'll return to producing films, but right now I kind of like seeing the real world.

I often marvel how people who I know for a fact don't actually do and never did much else besides writing spin up some amazing story yarns. The writer of the original Conan the Barbarian books had never left his hometown and lived with his mother, yet wrote vivid tales of epic adventure. But, I digress.

When I think of what I'd really like in life, the lifestyle of the artist Monet comes to mind. He lived on a sizable plot of land in France and created a garden oasis so beautiful that he didn't want to go anywhere else. I can't imagine a better kind of place for my baby to grow up and my wife to entertain her friends and relatives. That said, I'd need a fortune for that considering I just forked out $1500 property tax on my little condo. Also, I'd want others to do the gardening since I wouldn't want to get my hands dirty.
